  4. Two Wives, How Interesting! My first glance of the Title was one of disbelief. My first thought was, two women married to one man, living under the same roof, clearly a recipe for disaster. It seemed unrealistic. One would be loved, adored and cherished, while the other neglected and reproved. This was exactly what happened in the movie. This was once a pre- historic custom practised by numerous tribes during primitive times on the continent of Africa.( They probably still do, but I am not aware of it) They are now classified as non- traditional. They were abolished and or prohibited and declared, unlawful based on Biblical evidence/ precepts, as well as constitutional. It was initially linked to violence and degradation of women. To see such practice resurfaced and revisited, during this era was disappointing and scary. It also indicated/ implied, that civilization and morality were on the decline. Women were subjected to dominance and subordination at nights and physical and mental during the day. Chores were strenuous labouring. Affection was rarely shown, and if at all, only to the preferred ones. Those acts have enslaved women until now. They have been scarred. Women have turned against each other. Some of them have become belligerent and angry individuals fighting each other over / for men. They do not respect marriages or families. Their mission is to destroy and conquer. " Everyone for herself!" This topic was " a sore thumb!" then, which still exists, but is now controlled, deemed uncivilized and unlawful. We should, " Let sleeping dogs lie!" There's no place in society this nonsense. Anyhow, thanks for the reminder, of how it was, so we don't repeat a forgotten past, or a long gone conclusion. Many of our ancestors have experienced such nightmares. Some died because of it and others, trying to change it. Osito was the head of this household and the man who married two wives. His mother was also an occupant there as well. To be precised, this man bit off more than he could chew or swallow. He was unemployed, prejudicial and disconcerting. A cowardice with misguided values, morals and ideas of how to manage his household equitably. His main objective was having/ getting children as soon as possible. No disagreement there! The issue is, having children require sincere responsibility and dedication. One should always keep in mind, that children are not commodities. They need total care. It is imperative that they get it. They should be provided, with proper Health care among others. Education should be a priority. Some of the men from your region, are impatient and your thoughts backwards, especially concerning marriage. Every marriage, ( primarily new ones ) needs time for relaxation, enjoyment, serenity and alone time with his/ her other half. Thus, allowing God to intervene and Bless your union. God endorses a peaceful union and one, in which He is invited to lead. Remember, He said, " He will supply your needs according to His richness in Glory. " Osito, you revoked the presence of God, when you married two wives and gave your uncle easy access in your life. He disrupted it when you brought Charity in the same house with adjoining rooms. No Privacy! That was disgusting. You were punished further, when Charity carried the baby for nine months and lost it, after it was born. God does not like ugly. You and Charity sat there lazily, while Nkechi did everything both inside and out of the house , to support your worthless asses. She lost her baby on account of your insensitive behavior. Jesus died, so we could have life and have it more abundantly. He made a decree, that man should marry one wife. Are you aware of the words, He said to us before He left. " A man cannot serve two masters, you will hate one and love the other. " Your actions confirmed those words. They are binding in the name of Jesus. Osito, you treated Charity like a fragile ornament, which she wasn', and Nkechi with neglect. Let me educate you , " Pregnancy " is not an illness. If it was, many women, including me, would have died. Women work up to a week, before delivery. I know , because I did. You were an unreasonable and calculated man. You frolic and trotted around with Charity day and night. You were at her ' Beck and Call, ' like a cock and a hen! You were pathetic. It was painful to watch, believe me. Charity was tardy, but you were shameless and brainless. Both of you, were incapable of being parents. You had no clue what parenting entails. The bible has a name for a man like you, an imbecile. You were blinded by the fact ,that Charity was diverting your attention to her, and away from Nkechi. She was jealous of Nkechi. I didn't blame her. Look at Nkechi! A woman with the entire package. Natural beauty, elegance, figure, great personality and tremendous acting skills. She was always shining. Those were the words of your notorious uncle, Osito. A survivor of the fittest. On the reversal, Charity your concubine had no qualities. A woman of no substance. Not a contributor, only a dependent. All she did was to whine mutter, and trail you like a hawk looking for its prey. If she was doing chores, she would be able to burn off some of those excessive fat, she was carrying around, especially in her mid- area. By the way, that wasn't imaginary baby fat. I remembered her from, The Local Wife! Please note, it's my opinion. I will interject and refute ( at the same time) on Nkechi's behalf calling her, ' a cockroach,' but rather a rodent. The movie was ( one of) "Food For Thoughts!" It had highlighted a significant point. A marriage with Two Wives is unhealthy and not conducive to civilization. I was impressed with the way things turned out for Nkechi and Kachi, especially Nkechi. She was victorious in the end . She was the one, who was chosen to give Osito his first fruit. " Whom God has Blessed, no man can curse! " To me, the ending was vague. I wanted to see and enjoy more of the movie. I was also disappointed, that Charity was still in the house. She should vacate that residence.
    Special Notables!
Osito: My Beloved Brother, you hit it out of the Ball Park. Accolades to you on your wonderful performance. An Academy award should be forthcoming. Of a fact, you are an eminent actor. You are my favourite actor.
Nkechi: A versatile woman. One who displayed the epitome of love. You were truly a paradon of virtue. You stole the show and the hearts of many viewers. There's a saying, "you cannot keep a good woman down!" You were the wing beneath everyone's wings!" Most of all, your enemies. You were created, conceived and born with love. A woman with a foreseeable future laced with trimmings of continued success. Though, your husband neglected you, that did not make you unnecessarily perturbed. You took it as a grain of salt and worked diligently and favorably with what you had. That was the full support of your mother- in – law. You showed women around the world how to thrive, survive and persevere in loveless marriage against all odds. You were genuine, loving , kind and forgiving. Through patience, God granted you favour. You were Blessed with the opportunity of giving your husband, his first child. You are worthy of an Academy award for your great performance. Prominence is your forte.
Osito's Mother: A mother – in- law most married women adored and hope to have. You have been a breath of fresh air throughout the movie worldwide. You were justified in your reprimands and corrections. They were given out of love and fairness. You were an optimist and a realist. You were awesome.
Nkechi's Mother: A woman of peace. The bible states, " Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. " A great actress. I have always admired her.
Mike and Kachi: I was super excited about the way things turned out for you both. You were faced with adversities, but you solved them as a couple. Kachi, I was pleased to see, how you used your mistakes as experiences. Ones, you corrected in time and in humble fashion to save your marriage. Your act of remorse made you worthy of forgiveness, especially your husband's. Lesson to be learnt! "Do not enter a house as a raging bull, but rather as a humble servant." " The most humble calf sucks the most milk." Mike , you were outstanding. Keep up the good work.
Osito's Uncle: His actions were that of a mongoose, sneaky and lethal. Just watch , how he trotted to discover if the trap he set, caught its prey/s. As he hastened to his desired destination, you could hear him muttering as if he was called away on an emergency. Not knowing, he was closely monitored by Nkechi. She obstructed every devious acts he put in place. This was a battle between Good and evil. Nkechi was the Blessed one. She was undoubtedly the woman who kept that family afloat. She was totally, equipped for any battle, demonic or domestic. Osito's uncle had met his match, unknowingly. The one with the chest move of putting his opponent in check. She was disguised as a messenger of God. He was demolished, along with his insidious deeds before he knew what was happening. The trap was set a d the rodent devoured.
To: The Remaining Cast and Crew: You did an Incredible job. One you have always done satisfactorily. May God continue to Bless and Protect you and your families! Stay Safe! Remain Cautious!
