PE water resources here 7.5 years post college public sector…95k (102k if counting retirement match). It is a grind, and the money is just "enough" when considering raising a family.
Bro this is crazy I was making $70K/year as an MechE intern in commercial aviation
Environmental engineering student out of college. Studying for my FE with your help. Sometimes I wonder if it’s really what I want to do. Does anyone know of any jobs that may relate to the ski/snowboard industry while holding an environmental eng degree?

3% annual raise is a performance adjustment..?
that’s pre-tax I suppose, what’s the net salary? 100k seems unobtainable here in EU especially with lower than 10y of experience but if taxes are high and the final salary is like 60k I don’t know if it’s worth moving
Reason to not be a Civil/Structural Engineer.
What state?
Dude, this is huge pay increase. Congrats.
Any reference for structural engineer vacancy for Indian post graduate has PR
Dang yall underpaid
If we didn't have Billionaires, your salary should have been $10,000 every step of the way.
Do you get paid extra for overtime?
Well done 👍
Okay, cool. But did you get paid time off or sick leave. If so how much? Did they offer health insurance? If so what kind? High deductible, low deductible, or no deductible? HMO or PPO? Did they offer a 401k with or without matching? What was the matching percentage? Did they offer some type of retirement plan at all? Base salary is cool until you have to start paying for the things listed above yourself.
Do you get a lot of government work? The general public is largely unaware that government engineering work pays like 3-4 times the rate of private client work. The RFQ process for contracted government professional services is supposed to ensure quality but mostly it breeds corruption because people want in on those juicy contracts.
Was not aware you guys are on 100+ in USA.
Wow we really need to get out of UK😂
If you like structural engineering go the Mech Engr route and specialize in Stress & Dynamics. Go into aerospace engineering and you'll be at $120k in 3 to 5 years
Made $105k as a lease operator for an upstream OG company no no degree necessary
Bro killing it
wait thats it?
Thats way lower than i would have expected, honestly
For motivational purposes; there are trades people without college debt, 4 or 5 years experience making more than what many PE's with 10 years experience are making.
