It seems like this cruel REALITY of America BRUTALITY towards African America and Africans is of NO Importance!!
Reminder: There are more slaves in the world today than there were in the 1850s.
John Adams selling slaves to Sherlock Holmes? 😱😱😱
Is that sherlock?
Years ago when I was a child I saw this scene (or one very simmilar to it) while my father was watching TV.
It (alongside another scene from a different movie) forever ingrained for me the image of what slavery is.
Its also one of these two scenes that replays in my head everytime I see somebody make a claim that it wasn’t that bad.
I never watched the rest of the movie as a child. And i’ve intentionally avoided it since then. Since I fear the knowledge of how the story ends may change that lesson, however unlikely that is.
Bet the slaver is one of ((them))
God damn man we were fucking awful and alot of is still are
I’d rather die than be a slave. I could never imagine myself in such a place without fighting with the violence of a wild animal.
Now do a movie on France, England and the U. S. dismantling the Atlantic slave trade…against the africans and muslims.
Nice history…nice…
this wasn't that long ago.
Benedict Cumberbatch🕵🏻♂️ and Paul Giamatti's 🦍acting demonstrate perfectly how even the greatest atrocities are normalized 😮
Dear God, this is my history, my grandmother was born into slavery, I make sure to educate my Son of this, so that he respects & honors the sacrifices of those before him, which allows him to go to Yale
Giamatti was selling slaves in this film and in the 2001 planet of the apes film. A slaver of many worlds lol
NFL combine lol
Propaganda
Some say Paul Giamatti wasn’t even supposed to be in the movie dude just wondered off the John Adam’s set and was being himself lol 😂
This is what is known as the friendly slave owner. He still does typical slave owner things, but he doesn’t find pleasure in breaking them, unlike Epps
It seems to me we are being educated for the reinstitution of slavery….I mean 12 million of them came to us willingly to be used in our nation's sweat shops..well done Joe Biden and the democrat party..hell you've done it before, why not now.
Pretty much what the NBA and NFL combine was. Run run run jump jump jump!!!!
I must say there are alot of ppl out here acting like beasts nowadays.
My white ex girlfriend used to call me a fine beast. Mmm😮
So he’s selling the girl to peadophiles is that what he’s saying? Jesus wept
I wonder why Hollywood doesn't make a movie about the white slave trade? More white slaves died than Black slaves. It's also funny that our schools don't teach us about that. Every race has suffered from this evil BS
Monster race
There are people who believe that being a slave was great because slaves had "free" food, "free" clothes and "free" shelter. Not 10, 24 or 50 years ago. But in 2024. There are people who actually believe that.
I rolfl'd, what's this comedy called?
Beast. Splitting up a human family. The evil that men do. As long as human beings have been such, we have been this evil and rotten to each other. Everywhere. In all eras. Horrendous.
Does this film talk about the religion of almost 90% of the slave traders? Or the religion of the majority of slave owners?
Just asking if the little hat men get shown truthfully.
Back when everyone knew their place and this comment is protected by the Constitution
Paul Giamati is a true Democrat.
“Great performance Paul but you haven’t even read the script yet!”
John Adams wildin 💀
Yep, you heard that right. 600 dollars. Your average farmer couldn't afford one even back then. Only the rich
