As someone who used to work in church finance counting tithe before i left religion.
Diaspora people and white people are the church's favorite. They give too high and consistently , after all the foreign exchange is fantastic.
What they don't know the little they give goes to the pastors, taking care of their needs from taking their children to school, buying them cars, luxury, vacation s abroad to giving them the high life back on Africa land…..and more

Phrankleen what you asked about these Fake pastors is this; they are FAKE, CHARLATANS. If these pastors were all that, Nigeria or Africa on the whole, would be in better places. All these fake preachers gathering folks and working on their weaknesses don’t teach about investments, life insurance and real estate. ( they take the money they have fleeced from the congregation, they use it to enrich themselves. When would folks think for themselves and aim and do, build. So sad to see and hear Phrankleen. Find myself continually coming back to this video. I think churches have the potential to build so much in the black community through mentoring, skill sharing, charity work and financial advice. Unfortunately the focus of pastors seems to either be lining their wallets of creating 'prayer warriors'. There's a lot of sense spoken i the book of James. I'm heavily involved in the church and i try to use my influence to get the youth to invest, skill share and do charity work.
The senior Pastor behaviour is dispicable however the parents were competent adults and they has the right to use their money as they desired

This is sadly disgusting! Don't ever give tithes or offerings to these churches! Christ died and became the sacrificial Lamb. Therefore we repent through Christ and thats the tithe. Keep the commandments and thats the offering. As far as wealth goes I diagree. The generational wealth I build is being stored up in Heaven through Alms. You can keep this earthly wealth which will soon be worthless!

I am giving tithe to this local church since I start attending there but when the pandemic hits I have not rec. any help from that church or even just drop a call to ask how are you doing

Everyone pay tithe including you Frank. Yours might be through car damage unexpectedly, unexplained expenses. Might even be paying for your side chick expenses🤪🤣.Just follow whatever your heart says. Invest in yourself and your kids and most important, irrespective how healthy you are, get life insurance and place it in a trust so your so called love one can have things to relied just in case. Life is too short.

This is why I only want to attend traditional churches which are not part of the 'popular prosperity evangelical' church system. Pastors in traditional church have jobs, everyone in church is expected to be able to read and understand the Bible for themselves and share the gospel, all funds given are counted right there and there in front of everyone and it's specific, church building costs, giving towards helping the students in our church, and families who are struggling within our church. Non of this making pastors rich at my expense. Also, this issue exist in the white community too. I'm South African, white people are also giving 10% of their money and ending up broke. The difference is that they don't discuss these issues.

Moses law was added because of transgression (worshiping of the golden calf) until the seed should come, the seed of David according to the flesh -Galatians 3:19

i have a couple problems with your video. the first problem is that you`re giving an account of a second hand story. yes, the story may be from your friend, but its not something you have all the facts from. your friend is bitter about something and is giving you a story that you are assuming is true. but lets assume the story is true, the second problem i have is that no one should expect a church to help pay for a burial. it may not be the church`s policy to help with burial expenses. as we would all guess, if the church paid for one burial expense then they would be hit up for burial expenses day and night from the whole city. as far as tithes go, the tithe is Holy unto the Lord, it belongs to Him. with that said, this doesnt mean that all houses of worship are doing the right thing as servants of God. a person who is tithing is responsible for knowing that they are tithing to a responsible church.
Tithe was not made compulsory and should not even be demanded. The weekly offering is more meaningful because you give what you can unlike tithe, that you set aside while you starve. It's stupidity to take the whole amount to church while it could resolve some of your immediate problems, which should be the purpose of tithe anyway.

A lot has really happened in this church issue, I wish those that call themselves Christians will pick up their bible and follow Christ. The worshipping of gos is outrageous. People hold the words of man than that of God. Brother teach them just the bible and only the sheep will hear but the goats won’t.

Tithe is not and has never been money it's crops, produce and livestock Lev 27:30-32
Mak 3:8-10 seeks of food only and a blessing on your fields.

-The tithe for the poor and the Alien
-The tithe that you and your family where to eat in the temple (a tithe not for the priest/pastor but for u) Deu 14:24-26 and this was the only time tithe became money so it was easy for you to travel to the temple
-The tithe for the levites Numbers 18:20-31 note that levites where not priest Aaron's house where the priests levites where temple servers e.g. Cleans musicians etc
-The tithe for the priest only give by the levites to the Aaron and his sons from the tithe they received from Israel Numbers 18:26-32
So you the concept of today's tithing is not legalism because it is not based on the Bible laws but on lies and greed as the have twisted the required bible tithe for the traditions of man.
So if you must give tithe then that's is how you should give it according to Gods instruction. But we are not under the law
So how should you give
-Give what you want not forced or of necessity 2Cor 9:7
-And support ministry that are a blessing to you and other as a fee will love gift 1Cor 9:6-14

-You are not under the law you are under grace Rom 6:14
-You are not in a covenant relationship with God no circumcision or works or law but by the blood of Jesus Christ Ephesians 2:12-19
-You can't be cured as Malachi 3 says. Galatians 3:13 he has redeemed use from the curse of the law
-I am complete in Christ Colossians 2:10 you lack nothing
-Christ has already given you all things Ephesians 1:3
-You are stronger now in faith Galatians 4:9 giving tithe and other ordinances an weak and beggarly
-No more priests but Jesus Christ 1Tim 2:5 Jesus stands as your priest not your pastor or prophet
-There is no temple to take your tithe to because you are now the temple 1Cor 3:16 not a church building
-Because Jesus does not want you to tithe 2Cor 9:7 and Gal 5:1 you are free remain free
So you are free to give much more then 10% or less just want you want
They say you must tithe because
-It give churches and ministries predictable income
-To steal from you
-They don't know the truth they inherited a lie and preach a lie sincerely
-You let them through your ignorance
-Because Abraham did and he was not under law but giving spoils or war once not his
how do we give
It is not about getting more/something in return or the avoid punishment
-1Thes 5:18 giving is part of thanksgiving
-1Tim 2:3 we give the push /perpetuate the gospel and will of God i.e. Salvation for all
-Phil4:13 we should give because ministry needs support
-2Cor9:7 give cheerfully without being forced or unwillingly
