African parents breed inferiority complex into their child with their dictatorial style of psrenting.
You broke it down perfectly!!! Love from South Africa
Thanks for this, Sir. You exposed the reality that we as Africans face.🙌🏾
Thanks phrankleen for your wonderful video.
Phrankleen, you’re a man after my heart.
Your critical thinking is just overwhelming.
Thanks bro.
Hi bro please make a video to tell us more about Ifa. Not nigerian but interested to understand more.
Thank so much phrankleen this is my second video am watching of you and I really feel a sense of relief. I have always had a feeling that my parents parenting are wrong because it has affected me which lead me to surf the internet and stumbled on you thank you so much. Expect an email from me soon.
I have lived in UK for a while. N I can say with chest that I am an alpha strong minded man. I don't take shit from no one never did never will. My family all thought I will be the failure of the family cos when I was younger I never conformed. I never did what I was told I was a rebel. I did not even want to go to UK my dad had to force me to go 🤣🤣. Anyway what I have learned in UK as a black man the only way u gonna get ahead is to remove any race related thought from your head. If u walk around like a deprived black man with yo shoulders down n anticipate u will be done wrong then u most certainly will or u will link everything to race. If u always simp for yo boss or act desperate in an interview u will not succeed. White man hates desperate people n u know this especially in UK no matter the situation in most cases u will never see a white man acting desperate (except he a drug addict or smth) but jst pay attention u will almost never see a white dude act desperate or show a lot of emotion one way or the other. The white man has mastered the act of deception a skill we blacks are still to learn.
What if the guy's parents also did some type of divination and their decisions on his career, etc were based on that?
Please continue telling them the truth and the reality and those who have ears let them hear.
In My Humble Opinion, there many sides to a story, this a very sensitive and a very thought provoking topic. Parents that strict with the upbringing of their children doesn't mean any harm. They're overprotective. However, with the Advent of Social Media and program like yours. People are becoming more exposed, more aware, more educated and more enlightened which is Helping the Parents and the Children to interact and communicate better. We still have a long way to go. However, things will get better eventually. Thank You for the good job that you're doing. However, Be Nonjudgmental and Be Balanced.
One of my father's wives did this to her children , she took her 4 kids to be checked spiritually and she stole the glory of the youngest child and he has never been the same since . My family is very toxic , I have distanced myself from them
Everything you said is correct – u must u must is all I heard when explaining to my mum about having a gap year before uni- the house was on fire. Certificate has done nothing fir me. I asked my mum put my name on council house list so I could have affordable housing she said no, now I’m renting privately but now it is a council house – she has no acknowledgment of how she has gucked me over
Did you forget about me…
We are sorry machines. I live in that shadow too. For me my parents allowed all these useless aunties and uncles to subject me to ridiculous struggle with confidence
This is Glory Williams I sent you the approval you said I should send
Thank you so much. I changed my number because my mum wasn't the person I thought she was all along and I am the black sheep in my family . I am fighting my battles right now . My mum would text me that I have to buy a sewing machine for my sister's daughter to do her business and I told her after 4 days that my sister is alive and should do that. I have tried to be respectful but I kept being shut down by all of them. My sister's are also like her very evil.
Phrankleen, you are the most REALIST person on the Internet!! Love your reasoning. Our people need to hear this and many more of your reasonings. Stay bless King 🤴🏿 Àse🙏🏿
Mental slavery and Stockholm syndrome at play
I would love for u to discuss mothers who sell out their daughters, esp when “big man” come in village
Life is complicated.
Phrankleen respeck King
It’s also in the Caribbean culture….we call it “bakka wall” mentality
I have seen too many Africans at work act different in front of white people. These are the ones who usually have a lot to say when they are around other Africans. Its quite sad.
My brother, I am from New Orleans, I have chills watching this very video. I keep and have always, had feeling that my calling is bigger than this life itself. I see my past lives, I witness things that "comes" to past." Family that has past on, has come to me and it's not scary to me, but deepens my thoughts. I'm still confused.
You always bang it mann
One very vital point I took, cos I'm currently passing something like that…Frank was saying something about sitting our parents down and having that civil discourse about respecting your boundaries as an adult, we all know that's not gonna work ….I'll say we should still have that discussion , but not with their approval in mind, have it and then do whatever it is you have in mind, cos we know they'll fight you till enternity , our parents struggle with the idea of having boundaries as their children even though you are a full grown adult.
Can we imagine colonial Nigeria sitting British down to have a civil discourse on how Britain should respect Nigeria's boundaries and handover Nigeria to Nigerians???
Phrankonero is right on so many levels. I am in my mid 40’s & I am constantly unlearning a lot of bullshit that has been indoctrinated in me. I noticed that my life has changed for the better since then.
I see this sort of behavior of Africans here in the states on a regular basis bowing to Europeans, and it sickens me to my soul. I will die before I bow to a European, my Elders out of respect, yes. A couple of years ago, on the train in NYC, I saw an Elderly Man from the Continent (when I say Elderly he looked about 100 years old) jump up (like a jumping jack) to let a young European school girl sit down. The girl was no older than 15. The girl would not accept the seat and he kept insisting that she sit down but she would not. I think she was just as embarrassed as the rest of us Black folks on the train were. The expressions on the faces of people were ones of awe and disbelief. It disturbed me so bad until that image is still conscious in my head today. I hope that people will understand and absorb the knowledge that you are teaching. Thank you so much for what you are doing to educate the people.
Mate please can you kindly watch this News and please talk about it… maybe people will have eye openly about what you have been saying in regards to us investing in our country of origin……..WATCH: Nigerians Decry Hike in Price of Sachet Water as Vendors Lament Drop in Sales
This definitely rings a bell. I was told to become a professor, but then I rebelled, dropped out of my PhD program years ago to focus on writing (my true passion). Those conversations are not easy to have with our parents sometimes, but, hey, we're adults too now so…
Excellent discussion.
This is part of the reason why the motherland is what it is. Our critical thinking is damaged and you dare try to break out from it, you get a whole community on you. We have a long way to goooo. I'm a SeneGambian and i can attest to what you are saying. The whole continent is sick but we don't want to accept it. It's easier to play the blame game.
Education is the bedrock of any societies. One thing is the truth, it might take time to emancipate ourselves from the abuse instilled to us by our parents. They die before we know it.
Phrakleen Omo iyami oro leh so. Ki olorun ma sho wa lo woh awon ebi buruku
It’s amazing how much damage has been done on us Africans. Talking to our people about these issues definitely causes so many arguments some of our brothers and sisters are still fast asleep!!! Our dated beliefs and systems are holding us back!
Story of my life😪
all you said is the simple truth am currently at the unlearning and relearning stage of life, Thanks for these words
…if you can shg……interesting topic…lol
Excellent 👌 presentation…… exceptional quality.
All facts🙌🏾
Please continue telling it like it is. As a Muslim daughter unmarried at 31 from East Africa I currently am almost about to cut off so called family and parents because they expect me to raise their 5 sons , youngest is 22 …. I feel my world is coming down because I can finally see them for who they are and I feel alone
