My New Driver! The Best Drivers Of 2024 Head-To-Head!
What is the Best Driver of 2024? I have tested 22 driver models from Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, Cobra, PXG and Wilson to find out.
In this episode of ‘Pick My Sticks’ I delve into the driver data of each club to see which 2024 driver is going to make it into my golf bag. Will it be a longer carrying low-spin model, a draw-bias model…

whats Ironic, is I recall last season, you disqualified the Ping for being to high in the wind where you play. and this season its a bit to low. you inspired me to try the Regular Paradym last year, and I picked up 4 MPH over my Ping G410 Max.
Fantastic review. Did you consider or hit the Qi 10 LS with a 45" shaft? I have one; it is a wonderful thing; very long and super easy to hit.
All things being equal or even a little bit unequal I will always choose a Callaway because of the Optifit hosel.
Gonna go with mizuno with a shorter shaft. Simple !
2013 Taylormade R1 still the best in my bag, no need to keep spending $$$ folks lol..
Much needed video 🥂 cheers you are appreciated!
Do not understand why you keep harping on the length of the mizuno ST Max. If you want it shorter, just butt cut it. Problem solved. This critique makes zero sense.
Got fitted today, tried the Ping, Cobra, TM but the Callaway smoke max, blew them all away, increase in ball speed, distance, consistency was just amazing, felt brilliant too, and never thought I'd be coming away with a callaway, had eye on something else but it was just amazing
Good choice, good video.
I've subscribed, love your content.
Great video Hannah. I would like to ask this. I am fairly short for a guy 5 ft 6 inches. Some of my friends play with drivers that are 43.5 inches in length. You mentioned you were fitted into a shorter driver. I am curious how long??? I have been playing with one thats 43.75 inches . Seems to be easier to control and doesn't really seem to lose much distance if any for me. Many people don't know this but Jack Nicklaus played with a driver under 43 inches in length. Good luck with your new driver. 🙂 Figuring these things out is one of the fun parts of our sport. Joe
Mizuno have traditionally used shorter shafts than other manufacturers. The max is longer for Mizuno to bring it up to match the others🤔
You need to reset your perception re. Mizuno woods. They are just as good as the rest and CHEAPER😎
I think you should game the Qi10 max and driver it like Nelly. Game over ! put the Titleist in the closet because you know its probably coming back at some point. I currently game the TS3
I hate callaway drivers. Haven’t liked any in years. They go sideways for me.
The Mizuno ST Max looks fantastic and seems to go like a rocket from the club face, I'm so torn between that and the Taylormade Qi10.
I wanted a Ping 10K max but my local shop was unable to order a 217 gram head. Then I found out about the Palm Tree Crew Darkspeed X. Obviously, I had to get it. Ordered that with a 16 gram weight to replace the 3 gram. Should get around 217 grams.
Hopefully they dont fall apart like the Stealths
Great video Hannah, I’ll be sticking with my Stealth 2 HD but I did enjoy hitting the Qi10 recently. What course was that, it looked a bit too sunny and green to be in Yorkshire!?
Congrats on your pick! Looking forward to seeing how the rest of your bag turns out.
Good luck on your next tournament! ⛳🏌️
Hannah, a very interesting video, great review of all this years contenders, so dispersion was what helped the final decision…after watching the Callaway review I was sure that would be the club…just shows what I know !!! 😀
Need a four club shoot out, 9 and 10.5 Ping vs 9 and 10.5 TM, or fitted Ping vs fitted TM. Those are the clubs of 2024, so seeing those three video's, fitting at both then a shootout would be great. (and costly!, but worth it..subscribers need to do a whip round !!)
I have all ping
Have you got a old school Holden car
Loved the review, great narrative and loved the inside numbers being discussed briefly at the end. The titleist, Wilson and Mizuno sounded great to me and with all the yardages so similar it is not an easy choice. Nice comments on the much overlooked headcover 👍
PXG hands down. 8 degree. Get fitted at PXG so they’ll dial you in. Best
What shaft did you use on the Ping ?
Superb video
One question where is the srixon drivers in this test. I’ve found them to be so forgiving and long
Would love to see Cleveland included as well. I'm debating between that club and several others you tested.
great video – you could always bag the two of them ha
What’s the secret of your weight loss Hannah?
I tried all the new ones and have just got my new TM QI10
Great review, I don’t think you can go to far wrong. All perform well. Look and feel gives confidence.
I’d have thought tsr2 with a slightly heavier shaft would have worked for you.
Just upgrade to a Titleist TSR2…. love it.
Pick my sticks nice concept 👌🏼👌🏼
Decisions, decisions.
I love Hannah’s reviews but reviewing these drivers is like going shopping with a with a wife shopping for a refrigerator. 😳
I landed on the Ai Smoke Max during a fitting, coming from a Stealth 2 +. On average, gaining yards with unreal-for-me dispersion, and shocking forgiveness. My miss is also toe side, and there is nearly no drop off in spin/distance. Ventus Blue TR 6S shaft.
Nice outfit.
Loved your fitting at TM it was one of the deciding factors in me going with the TM Qi10 Max. I’m coming from a Callaway driver and I LOVE it. So forgiving and love the feel. Great videos!
Based on the information provided by you. I would try to set the Qi10 down 1 degree to lower the launch. I think you are on the right track with your club choice.
I took Ping 10k @ 8 degree…..yes i have bad launch and spin at times… but can't complain with 220-235 baby fade everytime…..super consistent….as i get better so will #'s……Awesome review as usual…..
Ping with a slightly softer tip shaft. Just saying.
@Hannah Could the shorter distance from the PXG be due to the shorter shaft? Maybe playing it the same shaft length as the Ping and TM would bring the distance up to theirs.
Qi 10 all day ping looks too busy on the crown sounds awful and is 100 quid more. Having hit the Qi 10 max I found it so easy , it feels and sounds great and carries 10 yards further than my current callaway mavrik. Yet to try the new callaways but they will need to be pretty good to beat the Taylormade.
no opinion on sound or feel ?
