My Life In Ghana Without House Help 🙁

Living in Ghana is great and I really wouldn’t change that but having help here is everything especially when you have a big family.

I haven’t had house help for a good few years now and the cracks are beginning to show (call me spoilt if you wish) For me it’s about working smarter not…

  1. You need househelp this is too much for you alone. She can come and go for now and if you like and trust her when the house finishes you can let her stay. Let me know i’ll help you find one

  2. Foolish ayigbe.. You ewes were laborers on our Akan farms whilst we were running the economy. Why don't you get a house help from your inward-looking volta region? An ewe should always be subservient to noble AKANS not vice versa.

  3. Dela, you are an amazing, energetic young woman. Please do not let the rigors of maintaining a HUGE home beat you down. When you and Kwame finish with construction, you must hire housekeeping help. No one can effectively manage kids, pleasure a Husband, grow a YouTube business, and maintain daily upkeep on a multi-floor, large residence without help.

  4. I would prefer someone to come 3 times per week, Friday to get the place ready for the weekend and guests, Monday to clean after the guest are gone and Wednesday because it's mid week. That will allow her to do other things in between , like a sewing course, hair dressing etc.

  5. Better to have a them stay. That way, there are no issues with getting to work. Even if they have a car, there are traffic issues. If there is an emergency, they're "on hand". It makes more sense.
I like your sense of organisation. The piercing left me feeling squeemish.
Sista, most black women hide their figure under bubu (baggy traditional clothing).

  6. I grew up with hired help and my siblings and I hated, hated it. I swear I would never have helper in my home when I grew up. I haven't. I have all time saving devices instead. Love my Rumba, it vacuums and sweep floors while the washing machine washes the clothes, the dishwasher does the dishes. Grocery shopping is done once per month. Everything stock in my storeroom and extra fridge. I don't buy clothes that needs ironing. I love to cook my own food. No hired help needed. Nope.

  7. Make sure you take one day of rest with all of the family. It commanded by the Lord!! Do it for spiritual, physical and emotional health. You will see the difference.

  8. Hey supermom so my hubby is from Ghana and I am from Kenya we plan to relocate to Ghana and as we were watching your video today and we started discussing about food that we have to make sure we can find when we relocate. So long story short having tea with milk is a definite in our household, is it easy to access real fresh milk in Ghana?

  9. I know what you mean, it’s very hard and have 4 kids, you are a strong women! I remember them days, but for me, I was a single parent didn’t have know body to help me, but God!❤️🙏🏽

  10. #supermom Dela! I think I'd prefer someone to come help a few hours and a few days a week, sorta part-time basis as I like to stay hands-on with my kids. Outchea we do it all 😆. It would be nice to get some help, any help 😆

  11. I would prefer just a cleaning lady that would come occasionally. It's just my husband and myself in the house now. Daughter and grandson visit, but only the two of us living in our house full-time. Day to day it's not too hard, but it would be lovely for a professional to give the place a deep clean. It was really eye-opening to see how time-consuming grocery shopping is for you.
