My First Time in Tunisia! my first impressions, trying street food, exploring tunis

Next up in circling the Mediterranean in 40 days… Tunisia! We loved exploring Tunis and Sidi Bou Said, trying local street food, and learning more about the fascinating and unique history of this region.

For years, I’ve had a dream of circling the whole Mediterranean; not just the European coasts but also exploring the Middle East and North…

  1. how interesting how this woman says there is no jobs for woman in tunisia when thats so far from the truth its simple no employment for enpoveriched areas its not subjected to woman men dont have any opportunities either in fact the employment rates in both genders are almost the excact same this lady quit her job to be a western cultural distributor. Woman do not face discrimination she needs to be more specfica discrimation on how they dress? that doesnt exist in tunisia woman dress how they want and people mind their. business she is very pessimistic as tunisia has rapily grew since the arab spring we defeated radilical islamic terrorism ,islamic politics we deal with covid we buitl many new companies in europe we have so many universityt that are top notch. we have a econmic problem not a gender and we have a african migrant discrimation problem not a women problem …

  2. uhm, the Slata Mechouia is actually Ojja not Slata Mechouia. Slata mechouia is literally 'Grilled salad', which is tipically grilled tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic and some spices + salt and pepper and capres. OFC, olive oil as well.

  4. This is such a great video! Thanks! It doesn't only consist of different tourist things like food and places to visit, but a bit of education on the history and current politics, that's so great! I'm subscribing!

  5. I'm not gonna deny that women have it rougher than men in Tunisia but there was progress since the 2011 revolution. It's just painfully slow and it comes to a halt from time to time just like an old car.

  6. I like the video and the vibes <3
Tunisia is so bigger than tunis , I hope that you will come back to discover more and to do more beautiful vlog like this one
( Just a note : when you talked about history, you forgot to mention the Carthagian emperor which was one the most important one )

  7. A YouTuber visits a country to distort it, based on its poor population waiting for a homeless person to give them a little money, and a hungry person who makes a backward comment. We are in 2023, world. I walk around all of Tunisia and I do not see scenes of poverty and deprivation, but I see them on the channel of a homeless YouTuber who lives in the Middle Ages
