  1. No disrespect to their points, but i fully agree with Trevors forward thoughts about AI. What do you do when you wake?? You take care of your loved ones, you fix the house, do chores… it's about switching our productivity towards what we want. We forget, there will always be people who love to bake, to cook, carpentry, blacksmith. none of that changed from before, we just got more efficient.that's all i believe trevor is saying, How is AI going to free up our lives and how are we going to embrace that. We shouldn't look at how we can keep being productive for 8 hours for someone elses company. why can't we instead work towards getting 10 hours of work down for a great company that only takes an hour because we evolved. it doesn't take 200 years to build a cathedral anymore, that doesnt mean we lost productivity, we just placed it elsewhere.

  2. You wake up and live your life. Love your dream Trevor! Very conscious thinking , that's why only 1% of the world live that way. Maybe not necessarily not working, but working for oneself and working smarter not harder, whilst the rest of the 99% is still thinking "what would you do" or "8 billion people wouldn't just not work". I love working online and for myself and designing my schedule with things i enjoy and am passionate about, travelling the world and living life to the fullest. It's really a game changer, and this can be achieved and has been well before AI.

  3. This by far is probably my favourite Trevor Noah content I have ever watched. So awesome to see his friends roast him and just have hilarious banter that only friends can do. So cool 😂

  4. I'd be pissed if my friends put me down like that because my jobs weren't their idea of a "proper job". I know they meant to be funny, but it sounded quite condescending.

  5. what Trevor is talking about with AI and productivity is called a "post-scarcity society" -where the fully automated design and production of something cost nearly nothing with AI assistance and everybody has access to 3D printers that can print any material and copyright isn't a thing.

  6. hmm so he was a south african taxi driver? carrying guns and duking it out with people tryna steal his customers? ohkay, trevor tsotsi like that huh?

  7. TREVOR NOAH, WE NEED YOU BACK IN SOUTH AFRICA!!!!! STOP WAISTING YOUR MONEY AND TIME IN THE US. THERE IS WORK TO BE DONE IN THE COUNTRY AND YOU ARE A BIG PART OF THAT. WE NEED THE JOKES, THE LAUGHTER, THE INSIGHT. CAN WE HAVE AN AFRICA DAILY SHOW? OR THE SOUTH AFRICA DAILY SHOW FOR AFRICANS BY AFRICANS????? PLEEEEEEEEESE! THE AFRICAN CONTINENT, IS YOUR PLAYGROUND, ITS OVERFLOWING WITH CONTENT!!!!

  8. I have a feeling that Trevor's experiences traumatized him about marriage and the kids thing. For instance, if you grew up living with a great dad around, you'd look forward to repeating that cycle because as a man, you look up to that model to take over from. Although I listened to the full podcast where Trevor says a lot about his perspective, but I look forward to Trevor being a dad because I think it will make him deeper in though. He has great views and on the podcast, you guys said Anele changed after giving birth. There is something that having a child does especially if you are a responsible human being. That being said, you make a great point about how people take for granted the communities in raising a child and it's totally different in the West. The lack of family systems in the West as a common thing loses the value of society. Their individualism leads to me, myself and I most of the time. Good luck Trevor and I hope your partner understands themselves to be able to live alone and live together. I think we need to know our personalities better before getting into unions so we do what works for us.

  9. This was top one❤❤❤. Great balance between you guys 😂😂😂. The invention of the wheel and the whole automobile was also a hard pill for people to swallow back in the day. Convince your friends' questions and you're definitely on to something. Can't help but feel that your beautiful dream can't be before Jesus returns. JUST because knowing human nature, a group of people will want to take advantage of that situation and eventually destroy it. It sounds pessimistic eventhough i really love your AI dream.

  10. AI and advanced manufacturing (See "Radical Abundance" by K. Eric Drexler) could life the billions to health and free their minds for the next great stage of Humanity, science, art, or otherwise!

  11. Trevor: your silence is defening, I thought you care for humanity, for human rights … I really did, what happened? Are you afraid to speak out?😢😢😢

  12. That comment, about growing up with cousins and not knowing you can hangout with people you’re not related to, had me cackling. Sooooooo true. That was my upbringing. My school mates would always say “we never hangout” or “why do you ALWAYS talk about your cousins? Don’t you hangout with other people?” 🤣🤣🤣
