  1. Samora Moses Machel began the chain of events in the early 1970s that’s led to the origin of todays tragic events that were birthed the communist independence of 1974. White portuguese were displaced and sent away to Portugal without any of their money and land just their personal belongings. These injustices have never been properly covered by media outlets and this led to civil war and any chance of stability and peace. The current generation of mozambiquans are suffering the consequences of terrible political decisions made by the frelimo. I am not saying everything was perfect in 1974 but the rule of law existed but now Mozambique is a mirage of the past.

  2. Was an "Australian Volunteer Abroad" in Cabo Delgado Province 1994-1996. A Terra Do Boa Gente. A magnificent country. So much potential. My Mozambican workmates, neighbours and friends deserved so much better – yet I was constantly surrounded by good humour, hard work and generosity. So disheartening to read of the problems 'Up North'.

  3. Jihadists oppose to democratisation. They only want to build Islamic states. Is this the fundamental cause of the conflict? Where have the jihadists retreated? Are they focusing on Sudan now?

  4. Actually oil and natural gas was discovered in Mozambique show the france and the United States has hired some so called Muslim extremists in order to put the country in chaos

  5. I wait for the day when African Minerals can benefit Africans. These people must be brought in as employees or consultants and be paid well but everything else must remain here and be done for the benefit of the people. See how arrogant that French UN guy was to the Police. "Okay I will give you 2 laptops and one vehicle." Whaaaaat? I am beyond incensed. My country South Africa you must also help out with your expertise here.

  6. Африканцы, вас снова обворовывают белые колониальные державы… Как же так? За это боролись ваши предки? Раньше грабили португальцы, теперь грабят французы и англичане…

  7. I can't wrap my head around this, why does such a rich country like Mozambique have to suffer in poverty, and all of a sudden a bloody Jihadist group arises. Why can't the govt defeat those guerillas ok they can't because they're so corrupt. Shame on all of those African leaders

  8. Un Pays extrêmement riche où les populations ne doivent manquer de rien mais ceux qui fabriquent le terrorisme sont encore à la manœuvre 🤬
