Thanks for making the video
Maybe you should have stayed in Ghana. The Dutch are done with immigrants from Africa or the Middle East.
For obvious reasons, just like the rest of the European countries.
I would prefer to see our borders closed, just like in the US.
you can do the BSN number with like employment agency: Otto Workforce, Tempo Team, etc
Only God is Almighty, no system.
Pray Him for help, that's no gambling.
Look for God and live‼️
Read the holy Bible, the Gospel in the New Testament 🙏❤️
It's much cheaper to rent outside of Amsterdam.
Go to church, meet people.
Thank you very much Kwame, this was quite informative and helps me mentally prepare for what I will be going through in my journey, moving to the Netherlands. I'm still excited, but my rose-tinted glasses do indeed feel a little clearer
Hi big brother,
I just watched your video. I’m 22, from Rwanda, and I’ll be coming to Arnhem this year for university. Honestly, I’m feeling a bit discouraged after hearing your story.
I thought I’d be able to work part-time and pay for my second, third, and fourth years myself. But now I’m seeing how hard things really are like you said,
I respect how far you’ve come. Do you have any advice for someone like me?
Do you think it’s still worth it to come to the Netherlands and try? Thank you for being real. I really look up to brothers like you who’ve walked this road before us
I lived in The Netherlands for 2,5 years between 2015 and 2017. I really loved the country, but the struggles you mention are real. It was hard to adapt to their system while trying to find your place. I keep wonderful memories and although I call Finland "home" now (since then), I've visited the Netherlands several times to catch up with friends and of course a bit of tourism.
My best wished to you and your family (I also moved with my 1year old son at the time) and it looked like a wonderful place for kids to develop, but life had a different plan for us in a different location.
😂 I moving to Africa!
Thanks for the intel. I was looking to move the Netherlands because of the need for highly skilled workers. But I have to do more research on this.
You talk about delay's but people who are born here have to wait 10 years or longer to get a house. I work with homeless people in a shelter where they live. Some clients live 5 years in the shelter or longer. Even for people who are born in The Netherlands it is very difficult to get a house or a place to live. The Netherlands is a very small country and very much people live here .
I like you as a person, and I love filmmakers but even as I vote left, it is not smart to encourage people to choose for the Netherlands. To many people want to live in The Netherlands. That is why we have Wilders. I do not want Wilders but it is a signal The Netherlands needs more balance. Please do not encourage people to live here.
The info I gained in this video really put my feet back in the ground, I’m in South Africa trying to move there to unite with my girlfriend and it’s not easy
Hello sir is there a way we can chat please I need advise from you
I want to move from vienna to the NL wish me luck
Fascinating perspective. I wonder if it’s any easier for existing EU citizens? Sounds like a lot of rules.
Get out of our country
This is not racial. I lived in Den Hague for 1 year and noticed people of color were treater with respect.
9:58 so accurate!
You don't want to live in the central metropolitan area. (Randstad). Rural has more space and may more readily find homes in area's where people are leaving for the major cities. (krimpregio). You can find a job there if you have skills that people are willing to pay for. There you start building a future when you start settling in and asking questions. 😅
We just moved over also and battling to find permanent accommodation and get bsn number as we have no permanent accommodation, any help around how you got through that would be very appreciated.
Forget about Amsterdam! For * sake, there are so many beautiful places to live in the Netherlands. Why do people choose to move to the most expensive and overhyped city in NL? You can travel across the country in literally no time. You must watch out to not overshoot the border lines by mistake :D:D:D
Hey, is this a great place one can thrive as a filmmaker or a musician?
Thanks for sharing these information.😊
Seems like a very fair and realistic assessment.
Why not move to Africa?
Undercover lover in Ghana, antrapology?😁😉😆
nobody likes ther country's culture and people's being replaced by unwanted invaders
I'm currently relocating, and none of these concerns are happening to me, so don't be too concerned.
Okay it took me some time before I noticed a statement I did (personal) did not agree with, in this video! All before you told us, I can relate too.
But I am the person (and at least millions of persons too) have no problems with black/ brown persons. If you were my neighbour, I would invite you and your family probably inmediataly. But hey, I live in an area where most people left within 10 years. And no it is not a bad area… it is very safe here… for families, children and domestic cats and dogs. But I live in the provence of Groningen. And most immigrants want to live in the "Randstad" Because that is where it
"happens." So they say! But the Netherlands have already a shortage of houses. We must build about 600.000 thousand houses (only to take care of our own population), within 5 or 6 years.
And no I'am not saying, that you are not welcome… You are welcome to me!
Im looking for jobs in Netherlands, please i would love to come if an opportunity is given.🙏
As someone who has a foreign wife, The initial struggle is real. But once you are registered with the government and the municipal, the rest of your life will be easy and everything will be automated. You will rarely need to provide documents or prepare anything ahead of time, just give your BSN(social security number) and they can pull up all relevant information.
For the housing, it depends on the city or area. It is a major problem country wide but there are parts of the country where you can come and live without high costs or wait for a home to be available. It's just that nobody wants to live in those parts of the country lol. (Dutch people are incredibly spoiled.)
Thank you, good content.
As someone who lives here im considering moving out because everything is damn expensive the weather is bad here and there’s too much rules, otherwise living here isn’t bad
Am yet to hear from people concerning housing outside the capital Amsterdam like Haarlem, Leiden, Akmaar, Zwolle, Amersfoort etc
