  1. underlying issue is profit the thrift companies in usa and UK sell to a reseller in their country they weigh the clothes sort pack it up then sell it in to buy used donated clothes that didn’t sell and then sell them for profit to Ghana or Kenya and the. The government taxes the small business owners on the bales of clothes and when they open the mystery bales half of it is so damaged they can’t resell it again

  2. Wow- such a waste and yet you see children in different countries with nothing to wear. And why do they sell them? They should give away to anyone who needs it. There should be a way to recycle all that waste. Make blankets or curtains or anything- it’s material that can be made into endless possibilities. So sad.
