  1. Google Jonah Larson. Crocheting prodigy, age 16. He also learned from YouTube. I decided to crochet a kufi for my grandson so I went to YouTube to find instructions. Up pops Atreyu Crochet, a young Black MAN! I couldn’t keep up with him, even after decreasing the playback speed. I finally gave up and bought a kufi. 😊

  2. I learned in primary school I was not interested at all because I could not for the life of me create nothing. Now I am in my forties I make pencil cases for my nieces and nephews, I made a blanket and made sweaters for my sister's. They were excited. I am now making a sweater myself and my mum. My nephew and niece are interested and I am teaching them the skill it is relaxing and I am happy to the young man, pick up your yarn and dust yourself up clean your tears. There are men on the Internet who also crochet and I am envious of their skill. Please don't feel bad about it and be proud of it. Lots of love💗

  3. Solution
Only crochet at home. As a mom why did you allow him to leave home with things that aren't allowed in school like toys music player, crochet

  4. . &&&& Thats true what phil said its to many rappers .. its too many professionals athletes … We need more youth crocheting like this young man … I wish he could teach me and my family how to crochet Lord knows I can use a nice crochet blanket lol …. ❤❤

  5. Don't worry young brother. I was bullied for "acting white" because I use good grammar. Now I'm the one laughing when I see their mugshots while reading the news IN MY LAW OFFICE

I bet your craft can make you more than I've made practicing law.

  6. Don’t let the enemy used these dark souls to stop your Son from using his inheritance gift from the Universe. He will grow up to be a contributing factor to his own success and livelihood, remember we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but principalities of evil in high places in the spirit world.

  7. This world is so evil, parents need to teach their children you have a lot of adult parents it's just ignorant they don't teach their children anything

  8. Look we need to stop it y’all. This getting out of hand. Crotchet…out of all the stuff a young black boy would gravitate to crochet. This stinks and y’all know it. Where’s his father at? For real cmon now. This is sassy ish, cut it out

  9. I literally heard a story on Reddit of a girl who started a crochet business and the business took off. That is a skill that most do not have these days. I hope that he is able to learn how to navigate this world and thrive. There are too many traditions and skills are dying off with the Boomers.

And I know that feeling of being teased and bullied for not liking football and basketball. Unfortunately the black community have a default setting and if you do not fit that mode you will catch hell. I definitely caught hell from our community.

  10. Peer pressure is a hell of a thing. Typically boys are taught building crafts and women are taught homemaking crafts. The problem "to me" is boys are taught both homemaking skills and building crafts, and our girls are not being taught either. I say everyone who wants to should crochet, cook, build and sew as much as they want. Forget the haters.

  11. I've been crocheting for 40 years..This is a joyful and beautiful craft..along with being soothing..Tell your son to never let people stop him..I tried to teach my son before..Males and females BOTH crochet.. Blessings..❤️..

  12. Crocheting is also a survival skill you can make hats gloves blankets. You can make a fishing net in an emergency or a hammock. It’s a great skill to have.

  13. I know how to crochet and sew I learned from my mom and I always make my lady something special for the holidays. Anybody can buy you something off the rack by I can make you a unique piece that no other woman has.

  14. Sports is not for everybody black people wake up why do think thay took trade school out so your son an dar won't have something to fall back on auto shop carpenter shop took it all out of school most high school kids can't filled out a job application

  15. 🤔Teach him the history of Tapestry, Loom machines, Persian Rug making techniques and the value of having a skill…. Look at Damon John of the FUBU corporation 💊

  16. Oh, poor baby. Men should Man-up the same way we do when it comes to Pee Wee Football. Mamas always gonna fret. Being Young is the time we grow Strong or Weak Roots that will determine how we stand to up Later in Life Adversities. Have we not noticed the generation of Participation Trophies? Respectfully sounds like the Pearl of a Woman that thought she didn't need a Man/ Father in her son's Life. She conveniently left that part out. If she wants to make a Point fine, but without the Manipulative Sympathy Seeking Narrative. Parenting is about nourishing the growth of Strong Roots in the Best Interest of the Child. Dentist, Doctors, Boundaries. Sometimes Painful to watch when unavoidable but in the best interest of the child.

  17. Cooking and cleaning used to be considered women’s work. Raising children used to be mainly considered women’s work. Crocheting, knitting, sewing and other skills are necessary and this young man can make a decent living from his skills.
