I feel like this is exactly the kind of guy MKBHD didn’t want to review his shoes. He’s really big on the “wear your shoes” aspect of them, and I think he made them with the intention of letting people wear them out🤷♂️

Funny thing is MKBHD said they wanted to differentiate from Walmart shoes, but these still look like Walmart shoes, but overpriced.

I think it’s too much money. I can’t pay $200 for that pair of sneakers specially since that’s not Adidas‘s Nikes or at least Fila it’s just some new brand I can’t do it. I don’t see myself spending that much money especially after the review you just gave it and the other guy that opens up the sneakers. I already spent $200 on some Jordans or some other type of sneakers not thoseKBHD can’t get my money.

There is not real uniqueness the shoe offers 200$ and that the problem . Sneaker designing is one off is not THE hardest designing challenge of out all the fashion items .and MKBHD's looks like a 50$ airforce 1 copies from shein . That's just it . Firstly the red black and white is a popular colour scheme for many sneakers so it's not really MKBHD worth for that . But what really takes it to the bottom level is the choice of textures . Who would having thought using generic plastic looking leather with sand paper suede and cliché plain white soles can be sold for 200$ . Heck he could have gone with a full knit upper with glossy plastic protection with bit less basic sole design or using multiple textures and that could be sold for 200 !

BTW, elastic laces have long been used with shoes particularly for folks, like myself, who no longer have dexterity/strength in their hands. You do have to tighten perhaps twice a year as they loosen up.

If you put any pair of gucci Louis or any other fashion house shoes in front of someone and asked the price, you would get even lower guesses. These sneakers are fire, the HATRED is cold. MKBHD is the knaye of tech videos, i gladly spend the money to by the shoes because his name isn't cheap.

It feels like MKBHD is getting out of touch with the average consumer. Maybe it's the people he hangs with or how often he reviews Apple products with their pricing but both this shoe and the app would make sense if this was the case.

Youtube and YouTubers are brutal but honest hey the brother is trying to expand and diversify his business portfolio I give him credit for that. However since this is new territory as start this Shoe should have been very price sensitive. Anything from 15 to 20 bucks considering quality of materials used plus if he intends to grow his business internationally.
I've watch this video once, thats more than how many MKBHD vids i watch in a year!!! 🤣 Don't ask me why i don't watch him, cus i don't know why either lol. I've watched other tech reviewers tho. but these shoes looks like it cost 20 bucks. I used to rock Air Forces, but now Walmart shoes are my go to lol, and these shoes belong on the walmart shoe bins. that will be the only time i would buy one. Not throwing shade, i'm just being real. Also that idea of stretchy shoe laces just a gimmick, cus i been slipping on my shoes without tying them since i was a kid, and they regular shoe laces.
I am huge Mkbhd fan, but you're 110% correct. Price is ridiculous big content creator do collab and put this price tag which doesn't make sense to me. I was excited to buy first version then I saw Rose Anvil video and then I made up my mind that I wont spent penny on this because it's not worth it as simple as that. 2nd thing I am leather crafter I know in and out of leather there are two types of leather Full grain & Top grain leather which is most valuable and that's why many top companies doesn't use it because they won't make money on that. Everything else is bullshit Genuine, synthetic all pathetic please never waste money on that.
