  1. The amounts for financial solvency vary; recently in Miami it was $72,462 for temporary and $300,000 for permanent. The amounts doubled because the minimum wage in Mexico has doubled.
Retired people are evidently preferred for permanent residency.

  2. Oh, this is rich lol… You know, after watching this, the Sourhern border is all desert. Put up a 1 million volt electric frence along the entire botder, solar panels to power them, end of problem for The States and Canada. Tarrifs of 1000%, suspension of "dreamers", all gone. What a JOKE the Mexican government is! LOL 😂

  3. I just came across the border at Juarez. The immigration guy didn't want to give me 180 days. I had to get my Mexican wife to give her Mexican internet bill to show where I was going to be. He was going to give me 30 days

  4. I have been in mexico for 12 years now and I will get my citizenship but not yet . The only issue I have is with the permission to buy . I need some help with this as I am buying a house.

  5. I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

  6. I just received my permanent residency in Mexico last week and am looking for a place in Huatulco. I have three medium-sized dogs that need a yard with a wall around it. I am coming from Costa Rica, so I am used to the Tico lifestyle. It is cooler where we are at now because we are in the mountains. It never gets over 80 degrees F. It's just me and my wife, and the three dogs.In Costa Rica, it's common to find yards with walls around them, and freestanding homes not attached to others. I was in Puerto Vallarta last week and it seemed nearly impossible to find. Does that exist in or around Huatulco, and how would I find it?

  7. 40 years ago, it was not difficult to see Mexico would become a new economic frontier in North America (maquiladoras, NAFTA preparation)… I started learning Spanish.
20 years ago, my wife & I moved here (Baja Sur), and it has been a very good decision, best of both worlds… Visit US/Canada whenever we want, enjoy living in the friendliest country with the best food on planet earth.

  8. 6000 Grand prove to go to Mexico??? after everyone letting them in for nothing??? insane. They know everyone is trying to go all these diff places and change it on a dime to make it harder… I dont even make that in Canada… so it works they LOCK you in.. we should have hadthese things ..everyone is excited about all these requirements now .. for better. .like ZERO requirements for Canada and US .. walk in…

  9. I came to Mexico, got a job, they opened a bank account and I applied for temp. Paid a few years and then applied for perm and started my own business and got my RFC and Curp

  10. By the way Gavin Seim is a real piece of work. The American ambassador to Mexico, Christopher Landau, called him “a spoiled brat and an embarrassment to our country… a perfect example of the ‘Ugly American.’”

  11. Those are crazy amounts of money to qualify to live there, especially when it costs so much less than living in the US. This seems to have happened over the past couple of years, the big jump in money requirements, maybe their way of limiting immigration without the insults you get North of the border.

  12. I do not know what world you living on on this video you make. I'm a Mexican with a dual citizen. Money talk,. Get with me and I can get you whatever you want in Mexico. Mexico is corrupted. We own several properties ON MY WIFE AMERICAN NOT CITIZEN MEXICAN SHIP. so tell me something i don't know 😂

  13. No offense intended but the financial requirements are relatively modest in the context of permanent residency – you essentially become a citizen entitled to all the benefits so it’s understandable that they would have some standards
