The apple vision pro is cool, but i prefer the quest 3. I think apple will come out with a better headset in the future but so will the quest.

If the price where actually reasonable, I would totally go for it. I’m convinced that this kind of device would help my adhd ass complete household tasks. If ya can’t fight the distraction, might as as well full on embrace the distraction!

Tbf, typing like that is always gonna suck, you can just punch thr virtual keys like a floating keyboard, which is quite a lot better. (I presume AVP is the same)
Also an app called fluid shows .uch better productivity on the quest, showing that the hardware is more than capable, and we'll likely get better native support via updates, eventually
The fact its 3,500$ vs 500$ and the only differences is small inconveniences is wild. Meta quest can darn near do everything apple's product does, and is more optimized for gaming.
I wont deny that the apple vision pro is amazing but the fact its a bloody apple device alone is enough for me to not want to get it. Ima just wait for a quest 4 or some windows/android based competitor to come out to match or beat the vision pro and just get that one. Apple makes great stuff but the prices and how apple likes to lock you into its ecosystem makes it feel more like a trap then a product i would actually want to use.
you can watch 3d movies on big screen, just connect your quest 3 to a pc with a 3d movie downloaded on it and just watch it, it's more complicated than the apple vision pro but it works. you can also watch with your friends or some other ppl
the quest 3 actually looks better than the apple pro in terms of "style"… the quest 3 looks big and stupid. Apple should make the formfactor the same or similar shape as the quest 3 and it will look much better instead of looking like some giant goggles
Which desktop app did you use on the Quest 3? You should try Immersed. They allow up to five displays.
Yeah it has cooler software but is it 3400$ cool? Absolutely not
i have the quest 3 and for me it’s so heavy on my head. i can’t imagine how the vision pro feels 😅

Spend the extra $50 cdn for the KIWI design Comfort Head Strap. Far more comfortable if you’re using the quest 3 for business business business.
The two "glasses" are designed for different uses, for the quest 3 game, and the vision pro for videos or video chat. One is AR and the other is Vr

As quest 3 owner I can say it’s a good comparison. In my opinion it’s comparing Toyota vs BMW. Yes a Toyota can do pretty much everything but BMW is something else and margin improvements can put tghe price very high. The resolution, pass through etc much better in avp. But so else gaming in quest 3!
Secondly, yes AVP is a BMW but there are not so many things differently. This thing is ready to go as hardware. But software (os, apps…etc) requires a bit more time.
AVP is a nice enter to market but overall it’s a first gen product and a way to go!

As always, when you are on an Apple setup, it’s so much better to have the Vision Pro to have all those features… seems much more sketchy with the quest. Would I even be able to actually work on my Mac from my Quest 3 if I had one ? Genuine question, I’m wondering.
Because, of course, I don’t want to pay for a Vision Pro. But I wonder if I shouldn’t just wait again one generation or two, for both headsets btw.
