Orange you glad there’s some Meskouta today? 🍊 haha. I found this Moroccan orange cake online and decided one day to try making it. I absolutely loved the refreshing hint of orange and balance of sweetness in this cake. Ever…

I tried this recipe, and it was delicious. I decreased the entire recipe by dividing it into four and even that filled a normal rectangular loaf pan. Since our olive oil is very natural, it wasn't neutral in taste but I used the exact same amount of oil as the recipe called for. On the first day of baking I found it a little bit oily, but because of this, it didn't dry out for many days. The loaf was really big, so it took a couple of days to finish it. I think you need to decrease the amount of oil a little bit. However, it was still delicious and very filling.
600ml of oil just sounds so much. Also pretty expensive, that's a lot of olive oil lol
1 gram of water is actually equal to 1 mL of water! since fruit juice is mostly water, the grams and mL are probably the same 🙂 love your videos <3
Lucky friends!
Bravo
This looks so delicious! I can't wait to try it!!!
i like how all the music you used has orange in the title
the art always looks so tasty :') (the finished recipe too lol)
Beautiful.
does the final product end up tasting like olive oil? it looks like a lot, so I was wondering if I should substitute it with vegetable, or if olive oil adds some surprisingly good flavors?
I really like your content 😊 the illustrations drew me in 😌and then to my surprise I see my childhood cake✨
we normally use vegetable oil for it's neutral flavor, I was surprised to see you add olive oil?
Must taste amazing. So pretty
I love the way you film your videos. This is how it looks when I bake! The process isn't always neat and perfect (I can never measure my flour or sugar exactly right the first try either!), but you can always get the desired end result, all the same. It's so refreshing from other over-edited baking channels. I hope you continue with this filming style going forward!
No seizure inducing intro.
No stupid gimmicks or catchphrases repeated every three seconds.
No obnoxious editing, asmr, or sound effects.
No shameless plugs of name brand merch.
No shaming for lack of certain equipment and ingredients.
No overt sexual abuse of the food.
No butchering of classic recipes only to claim its "authentic".
No channels within channels to capitalize on monetary gains.
No sponsored product placement.
And no ads.
I am subscribing.
Or am I dreaming?
this looks really good! do you think it would still work with a gluten free measure for measure flour?
Love the music choices for your videos
seeing such a nostalgic cake from childhood being made by you is so much more fun and pleasing than i had anticipated
Your channel is so awesome!! Keep it up 🙂
Just found your channel. Love all the videos so much! Clear, concise, and clean. Can’t wait for more!
Orange you glad joshuacooks came out with another video? Well I'm not. I'm not glad that this video comes in 1080 pixels, 60 frames per second for a pristine viewing experience. I'm not glad that he shows a detailed, visual directions which is easy to follow but also entertaining. I'm not glad that he adds commentary text so large that elders can easily read them. I'm not glad; I'm ecstatic.
