  1. Oh my god not with this same "India's unequal society" trope again. Every society is unequal. You would know walking through parts of Frankfurt the sheer contrast with all the huge buildings and then the junkies doing drugs on the streets or in parts of USA where there are homeless people, why isn't that compared to the wealth of Bill gates? Why don't you focus on how much of a digital revolution the Ambani family's ventures like Jio offering dirt cheap internet to India has brought.

Even a street side vegetable vendor or even beggars in India today have smart phones with internet and they will have a QR code for you to make a payment to them, all thanks to Jio offering cheap internet and unlimited hours of calls forcing all other telecom companies to do the same. Or just focus on the amounts of jobs they generate in India. Or the amount of charity they do. They are doing their part for the country to the point that i have travelled across Europe and lived there for a while and couldn't wait to come back home so i can have 40gb of internet and unlimited phone calls for like €3 per month.

  2. I am sure Western world is shocked by this wedding. No one in West will spend such a huge amount on their children's wedding. But the point raised by this journalist is also, bitter but, true!! The unequal distribution of wealth is a big problem for India. We are indeed developing rapidly, building infrastructure; our per capita, at least on paper, is growing. But is really the per capita of an average Indian growing? Our per capita is one of the lowest & if we remove the wealth of these few billionaires, the truth will be exposed!!

  3. Better to build toilets in India 😆 🤣 there are more richest people in the world who can buy the entire ambani business, but they spend more of their wealth for the social works.

  4. Why should someone criticize this wedding? Its Ambani's hard earned money and he has the liberty to spend it the way he likes. After all all they money he spent goes to the public in the form of payment to flowerists. suppliers. performers etc. God has given equal opportunity to everyone in this world. So make the maximum out of it and other keep crying. So be happy and feel proud of thus wedding.
