A true dignified graceful beautiful Lady. And a true champion. ❤❤❤🖖🖖👏👏👏
WHO WAS THE FIRST WHITE AMERICAN TO DO THE SAME?
What an incredible spirit👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 we should never forget her struggle❤❤❤❤
Great player but she did not win the "US Open". In 1957, she won the US National Championship which was the precursor title because tennis did not permit professionals to play for major titles such as the French, Wimbledon, US, and Australian, until 1968. Also, she'd won the French Championship in 1956, so you might want to add that to the video's name because it's also one of the Big Four, and now called a "slam" title.
Althea was brilliant in spirit and demeanor, courageous despite painful adversities, and wore dignity and self-esteem as her crown; she refused to be broken by bigotry or shrouded by the darkness of ignorance and jealousies. She endured and triumphed with integrity to the unconquerable human spirit ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
HOW IN GOD'S NAME DID WE SURVIVE?……..AND STILL WE RISE!!
One a of a kind that paves ways for many people to colour may be her memories for being with us from generations to generations.
