  1. I Truly don't care what these two doctors are experts the same intermittent. fasting does work. I lost 30 lbs. These are too skinny women. They don't know what they're talking about. Shame on them it does work. 😔😏

  2. Has anybody run into this dilemma? Please let me know!
I IF for a year and it was like magic; lost my 10-15lbs, but year two was as if my body figured out what I was doing and not only I gained what I lost and gained an extra 7-9 lbs.
This is year three so let’s see if it remembers yr2 and goes into my 16/8 success rate again…

  3. I am doing something similar to IF. I just started eating breakfast or lunch close to noon. I stopped eating after supper. No rigidity. 2 lbs. a month is my goal. Patience. If I get hungry earlier than 10 a.m., I
eat. I am not critical of myself. I don't count calories. I eat what I want, but as healthy as possible. Stopped with the rules and making it an all or nothing game. I don't call it intermittent fasting so it isn't labelled. It works. Have lost 16 lbs. in six months with a low thyroid problem. Cannot lose weight, but this is working. First month I only lost .8 of a lb. I told myself, in about nine days another lb. will drop. It's ok. It will stay off. Not hungry most of the time. Eat if I get hungry and can't wait so I keep motivated. I eat foods I like. When it becomes about rules, that is where diets don't work. It has to be sustainable and this is for me. I am not a dr. Ask your dr. about it. I used inflation to my advantage. I don't like cereal, oats, and most breakfast foods. Once in awhile, I want a good yummy breakfast and I eat it without guilt. As long as the weight comes down and my health improves, I will keep at it. I will stop if it negatively affects me. When you see people with health issues that are taking their quality of life away, it makes you think about what you are doing to yourself and how to do better. Still learning here.

  4. Im muslim. 1 month of fasting. People always look at me like im crazy. They say it’s unhealthy for you but they dont know anything. Fasting is the best thing for you. Fun fact, cancer rates are the lowest in the middle east areas 😊 and its because we fast.. this fasting will change your life. You will lose weight, you will keep off the weight, and you will fight off disease.

  5. I’m down 12 pounds in less than a month. Just finished my first 24 hour fast yesterday and felt way less hungry than when I don’t fast. Breakfast seems to kickstart my metabolism and I’m starving for the rest of the day, so I end up over eating. I hope to lose another 20 pounds in the next few months.

  6. I’ve had terrible trouble with really painful and inflamed joints, an infection in my gum around some teeth from hereditary gum disease, and just feeling blah. I’m 59 and probably about 15 – 20 lbs over weight.

I started IF Monday; today is Friday—and I DON’T HURT ONE BIT…anywhere!! Inflammation, swelling and infection is gone! That “blah” feeling is gone too!

I didn’t eat Monday, DID eat a meal Tuesday, didn’t Wednesday, or Thursday except a little snack, and I’ll eat a good meal today.

When I’m not eating meals, I drink A LOT, which completely takes away the hunger. I use a “cleanse” recipe where I squeeze 4 lemons, add 1/2 cup real maple syrup, 2 tsp homemade super hot sauce, and some healthful spices mixed with however much water makes it taste good. I drink it hot like tea (because it’s winter) but will drink it cold in summer; and I drink it all day long. I also drink a glass of milk, drink spicy V-8 juice, and more water throughout the day.

If I start feeling a little hungry, I just drink instead! I traded in my regular morning coffee for my hot lemon beverage, and my daily glass(es) of wine are now only 2-3 days per week when I eat my dinner meals.

I’m trying to walk a couple of miles most days again, and doing just a few exercises; nothing crazy.

I was only going to try this for 10 days, but pain-free feels SO GOOD that I’m thinking of making this a regular thing.

I’ve lost a few pounds, too, in this last week, and it’s NOT water-weight like they always say the first few days are, because I’ve been drinking a gallon or more per day!

I’ve seen nothing but positives so far!…

  7. I’m 5ft tall and I was at my best weight when I only ate one meal a day (dinner). It was whatever I wanted to eat no counting calories. Then nothing more. I also walked a lot. I didn’t even realize that was fasting at the time.

  8. I'm so nervous I want to start internment fasting but literally all I can think about is food all day it's becoming a problem but this is making me motivated wish me luck!!!

  9. "Hangry" just means addiction to food and more likely sugars. With intermittent Fasting and living a normal lifestyle walking 2 miles a day after work and eating healthy on the days I did eat within a window of 5-6 hours I went from 298 to 215 in 7 months. I am 6' tall so 215 looks decent on me. my goal is 190 but I feel 10x better everyday, not out of breath doing certain activities 🙂 get a Apple Watch or similar and track your health which was a major reason I could watch my loss and keep me going. breakfast is a joke, an invention of modern society last 200-300 years ago. salads and healthy protein, mostly chicken with some fish mixed in. I slept better and had more energy during the day

  10. The 12 hr eating window is the normal eating window 🫤

Fasting is great! We should all fast Jesus spoke about fasting to get closer to God and to get rid of demons. It has many benefits.

  11. I am now at 18: 6. It was hard at first but it's a breeze now. I just realised today that i broke my fast at 22 hours 5 minutes and i never felt anything. Its a wonderful lifestyle. I failed terribly at dieting.

  12. I’m doing 16:8 . The issue with us here in this country is we are too spoiled with all the food we are provided. It’s not healthy to to keep eating and eating and eating . I’ve lost 20 lbs from it in the past, and when I feel bloated and gross I go back on it. It’s amazing .

  13. In 6 months I lost 35kg / 77 lbs by fasting 20 hours daily 6 days a week and 1 normal day. Alcohol was permitted whenever but limited to spirits, Prosecco and seltzers and I allowed myself McDonald's 1-2 a week. The beauty of intermediate fasting is that it is extremely flexible and you can edit it to suit your own wants. It works. I slept better, my memory improved, I was never tired and I was a new person. The hardest part of the entire journey is the first 1-2 weeks to get it started. Overcome this and you will learn the secret to lifelong weight loss whilst eating whatever you want! 🙂

  14. I’m doing 24/6 fasting and it’s working out! I have a dance on December 1st so I’m trying to loose weight for it because of the corset I want to wear (it’s a comfy corset don’t worry)

  15. I do intermitten fasting for a week. Before that, i used to intermitten fasting couple years ago but i was stopped. And until i realized i get obesity , i back into intermitten fasting. And i do 24 hours fasting throughout 3 times per/week. I did'nt hungered at all.

  16. I do the 12 hour fasting been doing it for 3 days 7:30pm to 9:30am -10am small breakfast light healthy lunch at 2:30pm and healthy dinner around 6:30-7pm fast starts at 7:30pm. I have drop a few pounds already weighed in following Friday 😊

  17. Lol it’s absolutely to do with what you eat. People need to do more research about this before they do it because eating bad food will not give you the nutrients to actually put you into the fat burning level. You’ll loose weight but it won’t be a good fix.
You need to do it for the rest of your life, it’s not a quick fix even if you end up with quick results.

  18. Intermittent fasting works period! I did an extreme OMAD version but loved it and still doing it! For my 1 meal a day I eat whatever I want…I give myself about an hour to eat…sometimes I’ll go a bit longer than just water till I eat again 23 hrs later
