  1. What a bitch, so she rears these daughters herself meaning she put time and resources into them only to waste her own time and resources if she was going to then banish them anyway, pretty stupid meerkat to destroy her own lines' chance to continue. That makes no evolutionary sense.

  2. Old video. But for those wondering; this is extremely common with meerkat alpha females. Give it just a few days and she'll let her daughters rejoin the group. The dominant female only kicks out members for a long time/permanently if they breed (only the dominants are allowed to breed).

  4. i got thrown out completely unprepared when i was 17…. my mom wouldn't let me take any clothes or a toothbrush or one single penny, i was banished just like those meerkat, spent the first year homeless, the 2nd year in jail and then i stumbled in to a job and the boss let me sleep in his old treehouse if it was raining. i almost didn't make it.
