  1. You two guys introduced me to Dakar on a motorcycle. This is on another level of expert skills and thanks for showing us what it's like🤘

  2. My grandson turned me to Mason and his brother back when they were racing as youths in the So Cal desert they were classmates and my grandson would also talk about them I’ve watching this kid for a few years now he a local guy and I’ve watched him in every Dakar he’s been in the last guy I watched so intensely was Kurt Caselli he was also a local guy I will continue to support Mason in what ever he does hope to see him at Dakar next year

  3. Great kid. From the very first moment I heard the Kove 450, I thought "gutless". All the sales in the US were hype and frenzy YouTube over selling hype.
Chinese stuff is getting better by the day. Some watches made in China are of a higher grade than most "Swiss made' overpriced watches.
Yet, on a mass produced item, Chinese companies will cut corners in order to be price competitive.
So, a 450cc that is gutless and needs to be rev over 9000 rpm to get you to feel anything, is going to fail on the Dakar race. Imagine a motorbike, needing 50 HP at the back wheel to power through the sand and ride at over 100 mph. The Kove has less than 30 HP and needs to be at over 9000 rpm.
Fine for everybody else. Chinese bearings and things can't cope with that stress.
    So, they all failed.
It will be a long time before Chinese manufacturers win anything.
It takes great engineering, great manufacturing and GREAT RIDERS.
Kobe might be gone within the year 2024.
My advice, buy Chinese made motorbikes only for their cheap price. Never expect performances.

  4. Great interview and video, thanks for doing it! It's so cool to hear that Mason is super motivated by exploring and seeing new things and places. That's something that goes far beyond racing, and it really means a lot to me as well. That's a major reason why I ride bikes. Rally racing, especially Dakar, just combines so many of my passions and looks to be the same for Mason. Mason is also a great mechanic. Maybe someday, after he's won like 5 Dakars, he'll make his own custom rally bikes. I would love to see one!

  5. Great interview, honestly Kove got me more interested in watching Dakar then Klein riding really sucked me into it. I was checking for updates daily on Dakar but once he dropped I was like "Meh, the other riders are good but I liked Mason…" I saw one video of Mason rolling into the pits bloody with a bike broke to hell and was by far my favorite vid of things as a rider, that was why I was watching to see another rider being a badass. One of the Kove engineers was asking Mason if he fixed part of the bike during the race and Mason's face made me laugh as he responded, "Yea….it's how I got here!" 🙂 Ride on guys.
