Former Governor Ambode demolished buildings around my area since 2019 till now the road is not going to be completed anytime soon. It is well. By the way the cele church near my house nor dey allow us sleep even during the day. It is well with Lagosians
But the pain of residents, those affected God ! one can only imagine it. It is well with them

He can’t even answer the questions seun asked him about the government assisting the homeless Nigerians to new homes.

I will advice anyone in diaspora not to buy lands or houses in Lagos state because it’s better to invest your money in western countries because you’re protected by laws in those countries with compensation.

@heritageinnovationlab3264

This is a typical example of irresponsible development pure and simple. Government of Lagos approved many of these structures, they paid taxes etc. Now turning back as if the government is not aware of those properties are unethical, irresponsible and inhumane. Has the government of Lagos provided alternative houses etc for those displaced?

The Aiport charged me 100 euros when the government had announced covid test to be stopped. From that time i vowed to use any foul means to get my money back from the government.. An eye for an eye!

@titilayoolowoyeye6016

The commissioner is not answering Seun's question on the homeless people. What are you doing for help for the homeless?The state Government would have built some resettlement places and asked them to be paying. If not they are going to become armrubbers.

My. brother s , you people have done terrible damages against lives. of the citizens. . Your 're narratives and explanations are not enough excuses. . The so called government should have reestablished the victims to another areas and paid them fully compensations for their total loss /demolished of their. properties . You people have to do what is right in the. sight of God. . You can't destroyed masses buildings and put them on homelessness , sleeping under the bridges and you claimed to become Wiseman .

Government can use law to make n mar anyone, the law is not always the right, slavery was backed by law in the USA n Jews were killed by German using the law, eastern region were starved using the law, even colonialism was backed by law but was it right?

@adebusayoaladegbola7063

He said what he is doing is REMOVE. I will say No. Removal requires relocating an object to another place the same way it was in its original place. If you did not place those houses in another place without any block breaking, what you are doing is DEMOLITION. Seun is correct with the use of the word Demolition

@olayinkaadeleye3134

So you have been collecting tenements fees on illegal buildings. What an interesting government!!!

All these wicked scenerio is about vendetta because APC lost in Lagos State. Why have they not done such since years back. Govt gave them approval, sold land to them , and collected tenament rate from them. Evil government hiding under revengeful disguise to carry -out attrocities of inhuman actions. Awon oloriburuku apani lekun jaiye.

@christychristy79

It is not illegal when they get approval from the same government. The state government should also take responsibility and take responsibilities they have been collecting land taxes and other taxes.

@christychristy79

Who gave them approval to build.

@olaidebadmostv

Mr. Commissioner, stop twisting the word. The right word in this context is demolition and not removal please.

@olaidebadmostv

Channels, what do you mean by removal? It was an understatement. The buildings were demolished.

You guys should continue your demolision sending people to their early graves there is time for everything. Are you guys going to be in office for life. Did someone not authorise the planning of these buildings. You guys should continue and turn Lagos to your Dubai. Kudos. Igbos tomorrow go and buy the govt estate as surely they will build on these lands ask you to come and buy. Igbos both abroad and in Nigeris invest in your states and be a tenants in another states. If Landmark business of 250mill dollars can be pulled down overnight how much less your buildings. Lagos state want to turn Lagos to.Dubia yet they are not cleaning up the homeless people under the brigde. Dirty gutters not flowing and rubbish all over lagos not collected. You guys are'nt started yet. Lagos state govt kudos.

@anthoniaaladegbola8914

So where are they go to go? Is the government making other provisions of where, the occupants will stay or live in furtherance? Talking about houses demolished.

@rafaelnwazulu961

When the politicians when to the shameless court in the last election , they felt the judiciary only messed labour party and indeed the election result , tittle and permit , issuance and procurement , due process and illegality , Only a formidable , competent and unbiased judiciary will give you the comfort , reliability , hope and guarantee , so long as the judiciary remains a sham calamity can befall on anyone anytime,

In a civilized Country and society, the Cities land and title Department of the government have clear plan and survey of developement and future developement and encumbrances clearly published and visible to the public. Here in the USA there are Title Companies that check for these encumbrabces and problems before you buy land or houses. This is a standard procedure in the U.S . Nigerian Goverment should make Title search and Land permitts a very important process for land or property acquisition. This demolision business is bad publicity for Lagos and Nigeria Real Estate market. The world is watching Nigeria.

Why all this demolition, what is governor planning for all this.

@fleshharmony9237

All this demolition are just politically motivated. They are afraid to loose Lagos to another party. Doing all tgey can to minimize the impact

@idahosacharles3591

Only mad people will go and invest in Lagos. I better remain in overseas were I am ok rather them investing in hopeless Lagos Nigeria. Those who invested eventually lost their properties on demolition or theft or land dispute. Lagos was founded by benin people but today now control by agberu.

@idahosacharles3591

All is really frustrating. No government, no law, no assurance, no life in Lagos. All demolition every year to acquire lands. People given two hours to pack from house built by them without compensation. Nobody cares where they will stay, eat and live. Hopelessness is business in Nigeria.

@veronkem6964
2 hours ago

All this demolition that is on going in Lagos and Abuja should be done with fear of God . Because I can notice Igbos being targeted only. This administration should spear the innocent people. . This lands were sold by people of the land.

@Financialwealthtips

Who sold the lands in the first place. These are the main issues.

@tomnnebe760

The government of Lagos state is the worst in the country. It's an Agboro led government that knows nothing about governance.

@franklyn-valokeke269

This boy is arrogant and insensitive. Nigerians are waiting for you to leave in 2027, no nore Tinubu never

@AdesuwaOsagiede-ty6sn

Nigerians, stop investing in Lagos State. Stay away from that dirty state. Lagos State is the most tribalistic state in Nigeria. Tinubu is running that state like a cartel.

@andosehcampbel5701

The lesson is that people must henceforth build these mansions in their states.
