You never showed how the meat was really cooled. This is a useless video.
Mommy, you are a beautiful soul!! You remind me of my Mommy by marriage in South Africa!! She is a true Queen!! Love your video!!
all the women in my family spoil you silly I miss them all my aunties and grandmothers will be fighting to feed me and my brothers the best feeling ever
what a lovely video mama…me i make mine with mancinas (cows feet)
of course in Zimbabwe you would use mazola (corn) oil and rape for the vegetable. Not so much water, so when you mix with the sadza its firmer and delicious.
yummy
I’m preparing to make some stewed beef and rushed back to this video to make sure I was making it the proper way. Waita for this video, mbuya.

Watching your video I realized how much I miss home, can’t wait to pay back to my culture for raising a women out of a lost girl. Loved your recipe and how you kept considering other people. My grandmother did that. It breaks my heart that sometimes she wouldn’t eat much to make sure everyone else ate. As the little one out of all my cousins and sister leaving in our house I didn’t have a big voice to stop it but the little one I had my grandma always heard it. I don’t know you by i fell in love with you🙂😇
❤️

thank you for sharing this amazing recipe and your story… food always bring people together. I am going to try this for my Zimbabwean husband… loved it.
thank you mama for a wonderful video. not only for the cooking but your background story.
So great to see fellow Zimbabweans cooking on Youtube. Just one hint, if I may, washing meat actually increases the bad bacteria and therefore increases chances of food poisoning. Just thought I would share 😉
canola oil or any seed or vegetable oil is the worst thing you can use as it is high in Omega 6 which causes inflammation in the body, which leads to diabetes and cancer, arthritis and you name it! Use oils such as Coconut or Palm oil that is totally UNREFINED, cold pressed and organic! That will be so good for the whole body, heart and blood! iIt lowers inflammation and gives the body protection against disease. Olive oil is good but shouldn't be heated or cooked, only use it raw. Take care and research your oils, but if Lard is from clean pork it is still far superior for the health to any processed oil! Thanks!
wtf this is fake men, she dont make it reel // 7 downwvoted ssshhhh and report for disturbngint contnet (cannibaslism, homoerotica, offensiv languege) and reported 106 and Park

the traditional zimbabwean stew I have had was with kale, do you use this as well as cabbage?
Please, what kind of oil was used traditionally, instead of the sunflower oil, Maryann? I am convinced it is not as healthy as coconut oil, natural palm oil, and olive oil, that is why I am asking. Thanks for the recipe! Do you ever put hot chilis and garlic in it also?
