Irene, who now goes by the name Grace Osei, is very certain marriage is an overwhelmingly positive experience, and itâs everything sheâs ever yearned for.
Since tying the knot to her husband who she met in 2022, Irene, who has transitioned from secular music to what she describes as a fulfilling career in gospel ministry, says her marriage has been a blessing.
She disclosed to Graphic Showbiz in an exclusive interview on Monday, October 7, 2024, that although people might think she is still in the honeymoon stage and might not know what she is talking about, she can say, all chest out, that she has no regrets at all getting married because her union has become the anchor that supports both her personal and professional aspirations.
âGetting married has been such a blessing. God blessed me with a very supportive husband who invests in me emotionally, financially and spiritually. Having a partner who is on your side makes everything so much easier. I feel protected and loved, and Iâm able to create in a more relaxed headspace.
âYes! Marriage has transformed my life in a way I cannot adequately explain. It is a sacred union which is both spiritual and physical. Agreeing to intertwine your life with someone else in such a powerful way is life-altering. If heâs a good man, youâre blessed, but if heâs not, youâre in big trouble. Luckily for me, my husband is a good man,â she said.
Reflecting on switching from secular music to gospel, the singer explained that âthe shift was not difficult for me. I have always felt the call to spread the gospel, so the decision to leave the âworldâ behind was more of a natural progression.(Related article: Irene Logan: Call me Grace Osei)
“Iâve always had that within me. The moment I decided to step fully into the gospel, it didnât feel difficult at all. It was just like coming home,” she revealed.
As for balancing her thriving career in music with her personal life, she held that with clear understanding and communication, it is not as challenging as many might assume.
âLove and career are not difficult to balance at all. Once you know your role in the two, there will be no problem at all. As a Christian woman, I understand depending on the Holy Spirit to guide me in all things is wisdom.
âMy husband and I minister together all the time. He is a solid teacher of the word of God and we are both ministers of the gospel. So, yes, sometimes, we minister together. I sing and he preaches. Christ is our foundation.
âAlso, we practice good communication and patience with one another. There is mutual respect and love for each other. We are very happy and blessed,â she added.
