Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso Impose 0.5% Levy on Goods from Nigeria, ECOWAS
Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso—the new Breakaway Alliance of Sahel States (AES)—have imposed a 0.5% levy on goods from Nigeria and ECOWAS nations. The tariff, effective immediately, is intended to fund the activities of their newly formed three-state union following their exit from the ECOWAS bloc.
