For the life of me i just do not understand! There is no discussion to be had. Those people are just evil, why would you want to keep doing business with such people. Haven't they stolen enough? Why even argue? That's your country, your gold. Just kick them out, don't even ask them to pay anything. Forget it and just kick then out. You can exploit your own resources. Fisrt of all I'm sure the value of the gold in question is more than what they owe you, so keep it and take the mine. What are they going to do? Colonize you? They can try! Africans have to realize we do not need the West or anybody else for that matter. Build your own mine and that's it. Talk to the Chinese or Russians. Buy the technology with your gold and exploit it yourself. It is that simple! By arguing with them, you needlessly give them power they otherwise do not possess!
Also, that's your country, tours laws and anyone who does not respect the law assumes the consequences. And it it is prison, prison it will be! And there is nothing anyone can do about it. Enough of that disrespectful, condescending attitude. The West is inherently evil, we can all see it. Unfortunately for the West, we are not weak anymore so deal with it or we'll make you!
Also we have to start using the right words. There is no sharing. Dont even sue them and definitely do not let rhem come back ever! Thet can go somewhere else. One thing is for sure, anywhere in Africa all those companies have to be persona non grata.

Let them leave. Mali doesn't need them. They need Mali. The Mali kingdom is on the rise!

This company most likely based its business case on an exploitative model, and therefore can't be viable if forced to change.
An example of an existential threat they may be facing could be a case where the company, its major shareholder(s) or holding company have unsustainable debts underwritten by the super profits projected from their Malian operations.

Some western companies entire business models are built never to be sustainable without corrupting gullible African leaders to criminally exploit our resources.
A CLEAR CASE IN POINT IS THE SWITZERLAND BASED GLENCOE MULTINATIONAL MINING COMPANY.

The company pays taxes in Canada but thinks it can't pay its taxes in Mali. What hypocrites and Mali should use national security to take the company away as they all do in the West.
