Malawi: One of the Poorest Places on Earth | Somewhere on Earth Documentary
Somewhere on Earth is off to Malawi, in southern Africa. This little-known country, overshadowed by its larger neighbors Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia, is one of the poorest places on Earth. Malawi, a land of plains and highlands, is also home to an immense lake that covers 20% of its territory.

Poorest? The western world is the poor set
Its just sad that out of all great and positive things about Malawi you chose a black Malawian who plays a banjo for a living and a white pilot delivering relief aid to the impoverished communities. its my dream to tell the stories of my own Country one day.
Land of beautiful people
I love such documentaries with my whole heart. The time an effort put into it is so amazing.
By the way being rich is defined according to the colonizers' terms – money, brick houses (mansions), buying processed and GMO filled food from grocery stores, access to electricity and recycled sewerage water, driving cars, having tarred roads, attending school learning from the colonizers' curriculum, having a 9 to 5 job – which is enslavement, having hospitals/clinics that destroy people's health with drugs, etc. These people live a sustainable life which is in harmony with nature. So, video creator you're wrong – these are not poor people but one of the richest people in the world
Great docu…i also dont think they are that poor people have big smiles thats whats lacking in sme part of the world❤❤❤
Clearly you haven't been to other country because it's not the poorest country in the world
What a biased title. Out of the vibrant culture and beauty of this country you are going to sell it to the world as 'poor' and focus on this. As a Zambian I feel like this is nonsense and contribute to negative view of Africa.
That guitar is almost 100 meters long 😊
What a beautifully made film!
The place might be the poorest but the Malawi people are carrying around smile, happiness not everyone can carry around…
Home sweet home. I miss this place and these people ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇲🇼🇲🇼🇲🇼
Malawi is a joke. There's no creativity in Malawi. Just people waiting for a miracle but not doing the work

Am sure the tea fields are run and managed by the british.
I love Malawian people so friendly Amwene❤
I dream of a day when Malawi and Zambia will become one country because we are one people.
Beautiful Malawi and its people, great to see them.❤
Hopefully She will find a sponsor to pursue her running career
They are not poor. they are just happy and leaving their life the African way.
I am a little confused about this concept of poverty. People in the west working 2-3 jobs just to survive, while very depressed. Some of them don’t even know what vacation means. That’s not life, and we are on this planet to live.
Home sweet home ❤
Beautiful people and country. Thanks to them for letting us see them. They may be poor but they have special things that Western countries don't have. They have not lost their soul to all the vanity and things of the world.
6:41 omgod!!!!
He sounds like Nate Ruess
By the way Malawi is not one of the poorest countries on earth. This documentary seems very biased!
