For the longest time I didn’t know where coffee came from, and only recently I discovered that it came from a fruit called the coffee cherry. From what I saw, the coffee cherry itself didn’t look very special, and in my opinion, it didn’t…

You'd for sure fail at cooking food lmfao you gotta eyeball that shit dawg recipes and times are not always right
bro can make alcohol outta glue, but almost couldnt make a cup of coffee lmao, sick videos tho
For some reason I was really hoping you would turn the charcoal into coffee too. But, it is a little bit silly to expect as much. Fun video!
we need a James Hoffmann react video on this LOLOL
Maybe it was 240 f and not 240 c
nilebrew is gold
When I watched this guy burn the coffee beans to ash in the roaster designed for this specific job, look at them, comment on the fact that they look burned, then look at the timer telling him there are 2 minutes left, then let them *keep cooking*:
I literally screamed.
Then I watched him burn them again in the air fryer!
Nile you are awful at cooking. Why didn’t you take it out when it was brown????? Why did you wait until it was black?!?!??!? Who cares about hearing a first crack?!? It was clearly burning AND SMOKING!!!! And there were 2 of you – neither of you thought to stop cooking it???
You’re roasting them too long 😂😂
I'm more interested in what they do with that vacuum pump @ 2:21. I use them almost every day.
As a person from a tropical place where this kind of thing is basically common knowledge, is really fun to see people from others places surprised by coffee being a fruit
Jesus dude how did it now occur to you to take them off the heat once they got to the right colour?!
How was this discovered
Hello from Scotland. Where u guys blogging from ?
Nile is finally using coffee filters to…. filter coffee.
Somebody please buy our boy a steel spatula.
Science v Art. Scientist v Artisan.
I think he dried them too much and because of that when he was roasting it they were burned because the water would have helped balance the temperature out
when the wiki page of geisha coffee appeared, my heart died a little bit
Hi, Nile. 😀 If you try this again, you may want to consider removing the parchment layer from the beans before roasting. This outer protective coating is what burned in all of your roasting attempts (accelerated by the sugar from the mucilage remaining on it from the "honey" processing you used, and is always removed before green coffee is shipped out from it's place of origin (and definitely before roasting).
Cheers! 🍵🔥

AS A BRAZILIAN, I AM SUFFERING WITH THIS VIDEO. I’m out
Above all of your experiments that you do, the most thing that I'm curious about is the bills that you pay monthly for your laboratory 😂
11:48 bro 7 days later and still the same t shirt
As a coffee lover, I was seriously triggered by this video….
probably should have done any research nile
How did you not comment and tell us what the cherries taste like?!?! Inquiring minds want to know!!

Napoleon After Invading Russia.
Maybe take the beans off the heat before they burn?
Oddly reminds me of the Cocoa Bean video
Nile will do anything but go to a supermarket
The real coffee was the friends we made along the way
I mean this man actually just watched his coffee beans burn twice.
And it was obvious as well when they started burning. you just have to look at a picture of coffee beans, and know that they are not ash colored x)
This is like defrosting ice cream, and then just watching as it all melts into juice, and not interfering.
Re pre roast beans being "green"
This may also be referring to something being green vs cured, as you might refer to wood as it dries out and ages
BTW whatever helps you sleep at night
THE POKEMON CARDS LOL
You did do really bad here, you didnt take into a count that the bad beans have far less mass in them and a different inside. You can not roast them in the same way for the same length.
I have coffee plants, and it is such a task to make coffee from the berries, it has so many sub-tasks that you just dont imagine it to have. and the amount you get out at the end is not much at all.
It didn’t work because you dehydrated them instead of allowing them to air dry
you think you can remove the char from the other two batches of burnt beans?
This man has never heard of doing it from the heart. It was perfect and then you made more charcoal 😭😭 if it looks good, try it, not good? Let it go longer. 😭😭😭 I don’t understand why this upset me so much like as if I’ve roasted coffee before but it did 😭
27:20 yeahhh you’re done
I looked through comments for easy at home instructions on how to remove the parchment. No one had tips, just said to remove it. That part is a mystery. That's why the leave it on and burn the parchment off method in this video seems the easiest way.
Hey Nile I was Watching one of your old videos Going supercritical. and it made me wonder (about allot of things)… like what would happen if you put something that would float on the liquid co2 and what would happen once it went supercritical. also with the silica beads using fresh ones and letting the pressure out slowly so the temperature wouldn't shock the beads and crack them. Another thing was if the supercritical fluid was able to permeate the beads could you use a gas that has a much smaller molecule and make this effect even stronger. Anyways love your vids
