The best part about being cape Verdean, at least when I grew up, was the sense of humor. Many Cape Verdeans can be funny as hell. My grandpa who suffered a lot of racism there, never lost his sense of humor. He could make anybody laugh. Too me the best part of creoles is the sense of humor… I hope it is still there with young people.
