Here’s how to make it!

Ingredients (serves 8):

5 potatoes

1 cup flour

2 eggs

For the meat filling

1lb. ground beef

1/2 parsley, chopped

2 eggs

1/2 large onion, chopped

1/3 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. cumin

2 tsp. paprika

salt and pepper

2 tbsp. oil for frying

For the sauce

1 tbsp. cooking oil

  1. This is what my nonna (Italian for grandma) would make. I make it every Rosh Hashanna since she made a promise to fast two days Rosh Hashanna should she and her unborn baby survive a very difficult and dangerous trip across Libya to take her son to a Dr. She delivered the baby when she arrived and my uncle, survived BH! So i male mafrum in her memory every RH to remind me of her and her husband was nifter Rosh Hashanna as well. This dish creates such deep memories for me ❤️thank you Jamie.
