    Put the empty pods and sugar in a airtight jar, and let it infuse to make vanilla sugar!!!

    Eta- just finished the video, storing it with the vanilla extract/syrup also works! 😂

  2. Pro tip from someone who went to school for baking- wear gloves next time you work with a vanilla pod. It won’t stain your hands (both with dye, and smell), and use the blunt end of a pairing knife to scrape the pod (put the knife down on one side, and slide it to the other, then dump the vanilla into whatever you’re using. Cleaner, and faster than using your nails

  4. I've started doing this at home with my mom- we make extracts she did an experiment with different beans and booze to get the best tastes for different uses. My fav has been Madagascar and rum or brandy- super fun but a put it up and forget it for a while thing. Like a edible time capsule
