So they are calling it 'Integrated Distribution Framework' (IDF) (5:13), interesting! When Ukraine was talking about it I thought they were talking crazy, but maybe I was wrong. Mesh Wireless networks already exist. And the Internet also has a mesh type of network connectivity. So why not a Mesh electrical power grid? It would require the different networks to coordinate their efforts to lead the electrical power to where it can/should go. So I guess that the power generating infrastructure needs to communicate their dynamic capacity, the power storage infrastructure would need to communicate their used/free storage capacity and users can use electricity as long as the amount they draw is changed in small steps. I'm sure Ukraine would love to hear about this project!
