I don't understand why make the iPad Pro feel like a Macbook? it should be different. If you want the feel of a Macbook then buy a Macbook. I hope the camera in the landscape mode is not in the way when it's in the portrait mode.
Imagine if you really needed an iPad in December 2022, but you watched these guys' video titled "STOP! The M3 iPad Pro redesign is better than I thought!" where the video description said "Apple's about the CHANGE the iPad forever.. with some massive design changes. Buying an iPad Pro right now is probably a TERRIBLE idea." And you listened to them.
They haven’t been disruptive in many years, delivering almost the same over and over in their “updates”, same thing with the iPhone (just USB-C? C’mon). And I concur, I have an 2018 iPad Pro and have not been excited for a change. It has 120hz, great screen, support for Apple Pencil 2, so… the only things that MAY push me to upgrade is: Oled, some kind of MagSafe, Dynamic Island, reverse charging, AND better battery which given the performance of the M3, that may be given.

They need to put Mac OS on it. If they still want iPad IOS then they can install that two and give users the option to switch between them like Windows did where you could switch between standard desktop and the tablet Tile UI. These would sell like hotcakes if they had a fully-fledged Mac OS on them.

Sounds great. But I use my iPad almost exclusively for entertainment, so I don’t think it will be worth upgrading from my M1. That is already far more powerful than what I need. The only thing that is tempting is the OLED screen.
It's still useless if I can't do same tasks like I can on MacBook because I'm limited with software. M3 is not worth buying over M1 since they will do absolutely the same job at similar speed.
Well, the price of iPad Pro is insane.
You can buy a used M1 iPad Air, and used m1 MacBook Air, and with other accessories, still cheaper to just buy a 13 inch MacBook Pro.
If you want good screen, why not buy a 300 dollars 28 inch monitor. Even m1 iPad Air supports external display.
For now, the pro means, you have enough money to spend extra for an iPad. But I don think most people have this money. And the main target audience for iPad Pro is student, who really on a tight budget. With xiaomi tablet getting so cheap, about than 100 usd with respectable performance, the new iPad Pro will problably be the worst selling iPad ever.
I think the delay launch of iPad is due to its pricing. There must be people inside Apple seeing how messed up the pricing is, and thinking of ways to make people spend more even they don’t need to be. But they found out this pricing model just don’t work.

I told you about 2 months ago and even 1 month ago (check my comments) that Apple will not launch the new M3 iPad Pros this spring despite all the leaks, and instead they will launch in the fall of 2024. But no one believed me. I also told you last year that the iPhone 15 Pro’s action button was not going to allow multiple functions and it will only allow a single action to be assigned to it, but no one believed me then. I also told you before the Apple Watch S7 release that they will not go with the new squared design ‘leaked’, and no one believed. It’s funny how ppl believe everything they hear in these leaks.

I am actually getting a bit worried, as this looks quite like the situation of the first 16 inch MacBook Pro, no invitation, some changes, and the next year comes the big announce of apple silicon.
IF there will be Apple Pencil 3, new Magic Keyboard, and redesign, I don't feel like apple will skip the event —- side refresh is always about something small and not important. It almost seems like there are some technical issue or marketing reason they don't want to make a big announcement so they decided to do side refresh in the last minutes.
By the way, I hope the iPad screen ratio and be a bit more 16:9-ish.
Yeah, this is a declining product. M series are so overpowered that it doesn’t need any upgrades anymore. What it needs is software overhaul, Im done with Apple and their overpriced, overspec, but trash OS software. My only use for M1 Ipad pro now is youtube exclusive, cuz all PC apps are half assed in features. Not ganna buy anymore, especially with the never ending increase in prices. 🎉🎉
These changes don’t do much… a better screen, faster processor, thinner,… please. Do you all really think that’s what the iPad Pro needs?
