  3. hi phil great video my name is caper craig in nova scotia canada, my online girlfriend lives in kanyama compound lusaka, hoping to visit her when i can afford it, thangs for the natwange backpackers tip, she says its close to her, i love your videos there great

  4. Philโ€ฆUganda geographically in their land mass is smaller than Zambia. But the Ugandan population is much higher than Zambia, As of 2022 Ugandan population is 49 million while the Zambian population in 2022 is just over 19 million & Zambia is bigger in size. So that's why the slams in Uganda are so close to each other.

  5. 33:26 Yes Lusaka can seem boring. The society tends to be conservative/ outwardly Christian so more focus on education, family/relatives etc rather than going out to enjoy activities but that's slowly changing with new developments, foreign investment and the younger generation who have more exposure. Focus more on the nature side of things if you want to have a good time otherwise Lusaka is all about people hustling and working to afford their lifestyle or scrape by to make ends meet (more than 60% are living on the poverty line). Malls and the like aren't terribly exciting after a visit or two, if thatโ€ฆ Some suggestions are; Munda Wanga Environmental Park, Lilayi Logde, Eureka Camp site, Leopards Hill Nature Reserve. Of course if you're on a budget Lusaka can quickly get expensive, hello inflation!

  6. Thanks mate for this video & for showing us Linda compound which I was not aware. Itโ€™s not a bad slum & all that the government need to do is help the compound people is to redesign & redevelop their shopping market area, tar the streets while encouraging the people to redevelop their houses & keep the area clean. Hey, am surprised that one can ride a motorbike there without a helmet. You canโ€™t even ride a bicycle here without a helmet.

  7. Awesome content as usual, thanks. So guys Uganda's also an agricultural-based economy. Yes, there is plenty of land, however, the people leave those areas and migrate to the city because they believe the life there is better. Well, at least that is what they assume. And gets crowded, and there is no space to build or even affordability of good drainage and sewer systems. The empty plenty land is far off in the area where there is no water and power so people do not like that. How will they farm with no water sources? So much learning to do and sensitization needed on things like digging boreholes etc..
