  1. The same set of people that were employed forcefully by the politicians (for the latter to receive votes from them), the politicians knew there is no job for them o but when he promised them factory work, farm settlement, skill development centers, etc they will say they want employment. For the guy to get what he wants, he packs many of them full inside the LG offices or state secretariat, created many agencies that produced nothing to support the economy. To make sure they get something, he pays them peanuts and they only go to offices once or twice a week to go and sit under the tree and shout government is bad. After using 70% to pay palliatives to these people, the same people will ask for good road, good hospital, electrification, prices of petrol should be subsidized, and all sort of demand. Politicians then go into borrow and if that is not enough, he enters into the pension fund and blow it away. Giving the same workers the borrowed money, they collude with contractors to steal the money and be the first to say the government is bad. N615,000 so easy to get?

  2. Please, N.L.C chairman is not
serious he is playing with Nigerians forgotten that is there because of Nigerians , the ones he started before what was the outcome ,he is looking for survival of his pocket animal being😂

  3. Its Amazed me why, the Lady was laughing about this minimum wage issues! This is a serious matter ma'am, 30,000 can no longer sustain an Average Nigerian family…….its the reality

  4. I think the NLC President has no clue about what he is talking about. The anchor asked a very relevant question and he seems to not understand where she coming from. All workers cannot be on a monthly salary and this the problem with the Nigerian way of paying workers. All the FG workers do not have the same qualifications and skills and therefore you cannot have everybody on the same minimum wage. An hourly paid worker that works a lot of hours of overtime in a month is likely to earn more money that someone of a fixed minimum monthly income. Also salaries are based on the cost of living in the state or city where you work. Therefore, asking for a minimum wage of N615,000 across the board is not practicable and no country in the world does that. The employer does not dictate to employee what type of accommodation they should have and neither does the employee dictate to the employer where they should live. Workers must determine how they spend the salary they receive and that is not the responsibility of the employer. If you are looking for work in Lagos, you should be aware of the cost of living there regardless of the employer. It is impossible for the employer to deal with the inflation in the country all the time because the economic situation changes from time to time. In developed nations workers result to getting a second job when the household income is no longer enough. Nigerians in diaspora do just that or work longer hours to make more money.
