They are provisions in europe this rare disease….. the lord Almighty is your strength
Such an Emotional topic…tank you!
I absolutely love Ope!
Ooooops!!! This is a lot to taken. Very insightful. Thanks to you guyz for sharing your realities
Nice conversation guys… Thanks for shedding light on the issue
I have friends that had it, and they died. It was sad, even witnessing when they have episodes and doesn't come to school.
As a warrior myself, every single thing resonates with me, difficulty in finding love, trying to cope with all life throws at you, sometimes, doctors have that "see finish" attitude towards you, the 'ugu' leaves juice, living with sickle cell is hard.
I watched this with tears in my eyes.. Great Warriors… And my Tomike.. Curtailing her tears all through ehen…. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻
As a biochemist, I understand the basic biology of SCD. However, having to hear the stories of these warriors and how they are able to live above it all.. now more than ever I am inspired. I hope something is done soon as regards sensitization and provision for care for warriors. I recall my encounter with a young warrior back in 2014, I was an industrial trainee at a hospital. I worked in the lab section and a patient had been admitted. It was an episode of vaso-occlusive crisis, and severe anaemia as a result. Long story short I donated my blood for the patient for free ofcourse..
Since then I try to donate blood every other time. As my contribution to helping SCD patients.
Well done Tomike, Sisi Ope, Ibukun and Adeolu
Well done. We need more knowledge about health issues and life generally.
None of these people asked for this disease, there should be more support for sickle cell warriors.
I love sisi Ope so much
Thank you for this interview.
Thank you Ndani TV for this informative episode. Thanks warriors for enlightening us and sharing your experiences♥️♥️♥️
Weather,stress,lack of water…….
Ibukun is actually correct…its not easy at all.
I'm AS, so I make it a point to ask whoever I'm talking to his genotype almost immediately. I had to give up a potential relationship because he too was AS.
Thank you for this eye opening talk…now my approach to sicklers will be different
This is a really important and informative topic to discuss 👏 👍 👌
Can someone please tell me in English what is the meaning of "UGU" The drink that the lady said had a lot of iron. I NEED IRON.

I have experienced what you guys are saying because I use to have a friend since secondary school immediately I discovered he is SS
I decided to help him in my own simple little ways because I am AS as well and up till Now I usually have crisis occasionally so I understand him better
Thank His he is now married with two kids now
You guys are indeed warriors.👍👍👍👍
Aunty ope I really love this please when are we going to talk about asthma for once!!!!
I personally will come out to share my experience and I really need. To meet people that we share the same thing in common to get motivation and motivate other younger folks. 😘😘😘
I would be glad to get a reply 😜
This was very enlightening to watch. A lot of education in one video. Thank you for sharing.
I can't believe I didn't know people with SS are called warriors even though it is a big thing in my family. This was educating. Thank you
With the way people react to sickle cell warriors & you guys still being courageous to come out to talk about being one is a lot of courage & I doff my hat for you guys🙌 May God bless you richly & ease your pain. I had a cousin who was SC. When my mum told me I was shocked cos I never knew that blood group existed & he dint really look like, to me, someone who had a challenge cos he was quite jovial.
Now to what is burning in my heart. It's unfair that one has to live in a situation like this & there's need to tackle it from its roots. This of course is one way. Other things that can be done is (this may sound extreme) but people wouldn't believe or understand if they don't see first hand. So, a documentary with clips of some patients during their crisis may help some people to understand better that it's not something to joke with especially intending couples.
Annoyingly I heard of a lady who bcos of love said she'd marry a man who is "AS" like she is. They are married now and I'm talking about educated people who are aware of the fact that SS kids have crisis 🤷🤦. In situations like this people like this should be in prison. So I'd suggest the government should start thinking in that direction, that's after doing massive enlightenment starting from secondary schools till university (thought as a subject or considered a major topic)
I've observed that people would not want to do the right thing unless they know punishment is waiting for them.
Please for the sake of love don't marry a fellow "AS" if you intend to have kids🙏
Thanks for sharing, insightful conversation.
This is really enlightening and definitely emotional I must say. I really hope everyone going through this pulls through and the society does better with relating with warriors. Putting a stop to the stigmatization and insensitivity.
Can we also have a video or conversation about people with the sickle cell trait which is people that are AS or AC and finding love and a compatible partner? It's honestly quite hard being an AS and finding someone who's amazing only to just break up because of Genotyoe 🥺😣😫😔
Love how they brought warriors to share their stories, such an encouragement to alot of other warriors who are still shamed about this.
All of you are looking so healthy. Even healthier than people that are AA. God will continue to protect you guys 💕💋❤️😍
This is really educative, I just hope the hospitals especially govt ones will do better in caring for warriors, I have a lil lovely gurl from a friend who is a warrior and I must tell warriors are the strongest being have known, much love to y'all ❤❤
Good conversations like this are being had. Sickle cell pain is no joke lost a 2 years old relative in America.

This is so amazing, I’m a medical doctor and a warrior and I’m so glad this is one issue that is gaining grounds in terms of public awareness and enlightenment.
Sweet tomike .. This topic is serious oo , my friend and her bf have been dating over 5yrs now … They just checked and both AS, they're finding it difficult to breakup hmm
Thank you Ndani for having this conversation. I remember one time I went to the clinic here in Canada and the doctor was Indian, she didn't understand what I meant by genotype, I was in serious pain and she sent me home with Tylenol until I met with a Nigerian doctor who finally understood me and gave me a better pain reliever. So yeah as a sickle cell you really have to be on the look out for doctors that understands the pain of a warrior especially if you live in the west.
This is really enlightening 💯💯💯💯 WELLDONE to those who put this up👏👏👏👏👏
