You didn't check the animals in the morning, you went to Walmart & bought wine to celebrate with your lover using Gary's credit card. You were never there for your children but you were there for Martha but only to be with Rusty & then go to an island with your lover. Gary ate 3 meals a day in a Restaurant while you were with your lover. Gary was in your way to marry Rusty, the poison didn't work so you shot him. You got rid of the gun when you shopped at Walmart for wine with Gary's credit card. You're no mother You're a money, man mad sorry excuse of a wife & mother! She obviously only ever thought about herself, her wants, her life. Most Mother’s love and protect their children, not her! She can the last days of her life, thinking about what she lives most, herself. Sad, sad case.

The Judge's management of sentencing is quite sickening. She should not have been allowed to tarnish her son's name like that. absolutely ridiculous. Why not make a judgement that she can benefit from the crime. Quite infuriating even with the pen clicking.

is it just me or does she look like the grinch? I don't normally say anything about anybody's looks because it's just childish but after hearing this, I decided to say it out loud. Even if there was any truth to this, then get on the stand and tell your story. So you blame it on one son during the trial and when that doesn't work you blame it on the other during sentencing. Just Wow! Personally I think the judge was too lenient on her…I love the judges that tell them what they think of the crime and make them have to look them in the face and hear it. I have watched a few trials here recently where the victims cant' speak directly to the defendant, address them directly or god forbid say anything that puts them in a bad light BUT the defendant who is now convicted can say whatever they want and that's ok. A victim impact statement would never have been allowed to ramble on saying the things that this woman's statement did. I understand a defendant getting a fair trial, but AFTER they have been convicted on the crime, that's it. ..no more defending and bending over backwards for their rights. I'm tired of victims not having their rights. Defendants can lie and defame a victim to save their own skin but god forbid the justice system allow a convicted felon to be defamed in any way even with facts on their side…as I get older, it's just really sickening to see.
I wouldn't want this woman for a mother, a. a. a….. Yes of course years you don't have so you would do anything to keep yourself out of jail. Narcissistic people are selfish and manipulative. It like she was settling Scott up and her plan didn't work but she knew if she keep with it up until the end, something will crack and people will have sympathy for her and view her as the victim. Narcissistic people do things and play victims all the time. That is what she was doing.
But why is it that her mother of whom she said had asked her to take the blame not take the stand to testify on trial?
How can she be allowed to sit there and accuse others or a crime she has been convicted of? Her statement should be struck from the record.

It will alway's be in thier family's thoughts that Scott killed his dad. That thought will never go away. Especially when they go back and see Melody's face while saying it.
This all sounds highly suspect, and I note that the gist of Melody Farris's appeal to the Judge was not for clemency or leniency, but for effort to answer unanswered questions and to find the actual murderer. Why was the process allowed to continue in such circumstances and why could the Judge not insist on answers to her questions instead of muzzling her during her last opportunity to speak? It seems that the case should be suspended while the possibilities raised by the accused are examined or re-examined. Should this have occurred before the possibly poorly informed jury was asked to consider a verdict?
In light of Alvin Bragg's brag that he would get Trump, and of the obvious lawfare applied to his case, which, according to a number of legal commentators, violated a relatively large number of legal principles, one must question the competence of jurors and the misuse of the jury system (Trump's jury, allegedly of his peers, but apparently including a majority of biassed Democrats, was clearly instructed falsely by the Judge in the case).
When does the USA actually do the necessary and when does it simply go through the motions?
Democrat Leaders have done major harm to the image of the USA, both directly and indirectly. May the further damage they seem intent on doing before Trump takes Office be limited to what they and Biden have already done. How is Biden's current cognitive incompetence and outright malevolence construed to constitute cooperation to ensure a smooth transition? One is inclined to accept the opinion expressed by several commentators that Biden has the distinction of being the 2nd worst President in the history of the USA and much inferior to Trump, who is currently a greatly needed relief from the disastrous Biden and Harris, who've had a negative ripple effect on the Western World, if not on planet Earth.
