I used to walk these streets when I was young. Memories came back, some that made me sad and some that made me smile. The emotion is strong. Thank you so much for your presentation and visiting a place that not many foreigners visit and lets all pray for the peace of Eritrea and Africa! I lived in Asmara before Eritrea ceased being part of Ethiopia for about four years. The city in this video looks for the most part deserted and impoverished. I find it difficult to believe that this is the Asmara city I used to know back then in the middle of the 1980s. How come he couldn't get a single person who could speak in English. I don't see any new infrastructural development. The buildings are those built during the Italian occupation. What happened, am I missing something here?
