That “nam” meaning meat is what we use in Jamaica to mean “to eat”. We say “nyam”.
You said ntoosi(for tomato) is a borrowed term. Borrowed from who?
See, here the “a” at the beginning of “aduane” sounds like “eh”. That’s why I asked if all Akan groups say “da”(day) as you do or do any of them pronounce da more as deh. And now I just saw it again with mankani. Some ppl pronounce those a’s as an eh sound.
Maakye Teacher Yaw. Love, love, love your videos, they've taught me sooooo much. Please I just wanted to ask if "mm)nk)" is the same word for both "lobster" and "shrimp"?
I'm VERY shocked that you could teach so many words in just 16 minutes while my not-quite-so-perfect teacher just goes on babbling gibbrish. You teach like Sal Khan, the founder of Khan Academy. (I'm not sure if you know about Khan Academy) You deserve the Nobel Peace Price!!! 😀👍

Casava leaves, and especially root is an excellent natural shampoo and body wash. It is still used for this purpose by native people across the Americas
