As we set out on the final leg I reflect on what I’d do differently for future walks

@adamtaylor7964

Another fantastic series and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Loving the multi day treks and looking forward to the van trips. Oh, and keep the gate clips coming too. More the better 😂👍

@keithtanner2806

The Beware of the Bull/ Cows signs have no validity if relating to a public right of way.
Dangerous animals should not be loose. In fact they would mitigate against the landowner in any legislation indicating he/she knew of their potential danger.

@keithtanner2806

Completely agree about the camping especially as camping fees are often very nearly the same as a B&B. Also, the ability to dry clothing and boots in a tent are effectively nil.

@mickymillersson4376

Great videos of a great walk in some really great countryside. Thanks

@juliel7522

Thank you for sharing these inspiring videos. Now im going to do the dales way myself over the christmas period! Looking forward to experiencing all the beauty as seen in your videos ❤

@kentonge1812

Why are you englishmen so concerned about cows.

@Kat-o5g

So much enjoyed your Dales Way its inspired us to follow in your footsteps and we've organised it for next April. Look forward to your next adventure.

@harleymac6308

What an epic series! I've had to binge watch as I enjoyed every moment. Your videos are so captivating. You're a brave man. Congratulations on completing this tough journey 😊

@pauladams6969

Came accross your journey purely by accident and, to be honest, its been the best vid log of the Dales Way I have seen. Many congrats on finishing it and, yes, its a lovely walk. I completed it back in 2017 and am going back next year. If you like coastal walks, then the Southwest Coastal path is a really good one, a tad long, but epic views.

Finally finishing this series, with a bacon buttie, yes it may have taken 2 days to watch, but happily too. Oh and now following you on Patreon!

@peterh8970

Oh I have loved this series so much, so much lovely scenery and pretty countryside. Couldn't take my eyes off it. Hope you do some more Spring or Autumn walks. Thanks for all your hard work and long walks! See you again. All the best, Tail-end Charlie

@alisonjarvis6213

Do you have a power bank? You need to put provisions aside for days when there's no shops – on the Appalachian Trail there's a stretch where you are warned to carry enough food for 10 days…
The damp in your tent is condensation – some tents are far worse than others…
If nothing else carry some Kendal Mint Cake… 😊

@mickgrundy4615

I prefare the high level walks along ridges. But they all count i nice contrast to your usual walks, thanks again for sharing love the channel, rave on glen

@TTTTTT-ix6tu

This is a great adventure, well done.

@the.pinnacleproject

Great Series! Would love to purchase the shot of school Knott (+ any from the top of school Knott!!)

@SharksOnTheGo

I love watching these films of your journeys. I just watched the film in Ambleside and thoroughly enjoyed that one. Last week I visited Holmfirth (Last of the Summer Wine) with my brother which is another lovely place to visit. However, it was the stunning views and hiking potential on the journey from Stalybridge to Holmfirth that was just staggering. A lovely potential for some stunning photographs especially from Binn Green (A635) car park. Many years ago I lived in Saddleworth and I never knew it and Dovedale was just 10 minutes away from me.

@Yorkshire_Dave

Loved watching the full series, Hopefully more long walks to come 😎

@rjp9027

Hi I recently found your channel and I’m so grateful I did. It has and continues to inspire me to get back out there exploring into the mountains & beyond.

Im originally from a small Welsh valley town called "Tref Y Clawdd" (Knighton). The town sits on an ancient trail called "Offas Dyke" which runs the length of the Welsh & English border.

My late grandfather who was himself native to the area and in his late 70s walked the whole trail in stages over a year or so period. I believe it’s 170+ miles or so, I remember thinking he’s mad lol but after his passing I’ve vowed to retrace his footsteps and complete the trail myself if not only to feel that bit closer to him but to enjoy the journey.

It might be worth considering a visit for your channel there’s lots of history and some rather lovely scenery to be enjoyed. Could be an epic road trip for you Finn and the van. Thanks again absolutely love your videos.

@richardfrankham7522

Tail end Charlie here. Watching in Devon. Enjoyed this one very much. Bit of a grueller for you Glenn. Well done.

@richardhunt3698

Very enjoyable , providing many ideas for planning my own dales way walk. One question, which osprey bag did you use?

@beverleyhughes7863

Thank you. You're so calming to watch and seem so good natured. Love that you say hello to sheep and dogs, admire trees etc….I feel like I've just spent 5 hours with the male version of myself !

@SharonHarrison-mb5fg

Well done Glen, another trail smashed 👏👏 loving the channel and watching all your vlogs and adventures! Looking forwards to your next one and road trip with ickle Fynn …Have a well earned 🍺&🥧💫

@waynemoseley5341

How about the southdowns way plenty of sea views.

@taracoleman2536

Amazing job, well done. Really, really enjoyed watching this series so thank you

@phillipseaman5493

Been away walking and just caught up with you. Watched all the way thro . You really must evaluate the amount of food you eat ( in your case not a lot atm ) and I’m sure you’ll feel much better and strong when you fuel correctly !. A steam engine doesn’t work properly without a full head of steam , nor will you !. Try the Pembrokeshire costal walk !!. Just done it and it’s stunning . 👍👍👏👏👏👏

@rosesevers5181

Loved this series… but then, I enjoy everything you do 😁

@arransutherland

Thanks for these, I’ve enjoyed watching the series. Apologies if it’s already been said, I did have a scroll of the comments & didn’t see it, but if I remember correctly there is an “End of the Dales Way” slate plaque on the piece of old wall you passed at 51.24 (just before you said 120m left).
Any thoughts about the Dales High Way for a future one? It’s on my to do list.

@gerardwhittle8941

Looks like you missed the plaque and bench… but we all need to carry on to Bowness , which should have celebratory end!

@Upkeep64

Some of us Charlies are even making our way through your back catalogue. The gates and stiles are simply the punctuation without which the walk wouldn't flow correctly. Plus who doesn't love a bit of Black Crag Bingo? "Hey Herdy", the shadow wave, "…How (now brown cow)", "Marsh bar", "Vaaan", "Look at that light". Did I miss any? Oh yes – the trudge of doom/bog of despair and my latest favourite – boulder field of lamentation! Got to be the best hiking YouTube channel out there.

@NancyWaldron-v9w

Thanks, loved watching these. I finished the Dales Way a week ago, what a great walk.

@barryhaggis9601

Finally finished this one. We watched in 3 parts due to holiday activities. We’re heading back to Dubai tomorrow 🙁 but it was great seeing you at Black Mass.

I look forward to the next video/series. I think that when you can charge up more the lav mic is worthwhile and when you are on the fells in future episodes having the zoom camera is great, but apart from that, I think you’ve really found your stride (pun intended) with your videos!!

@johnathanfell7303

Hugely enjoyed this, thank you! I’d love to see you take on the Cape Wrath trail next!

@Rustymouse

It's been great. what more can I say.. You deserve 2 sausage and egg butties. Of course in my opinion 😊

@jennifermetcalfe8200

Well done 😊 I would like to see you do Herriot Way next 👏 The Dales Way looks relentless 😢

@Tacoma34v6

Brown Sauce. Good man!

@raydougan7367

Living the dream Glen. Adventure before dementia 👍🏻

@simondoderer8804

The complex at Burnside is a paper mill. Very old but nowadays does specialised paper products. In the past it did the paper for our money!

@TarenCapel

A fab series – but you walked right past the start/end marker of the Dales Way without showing us the plaque that states “For Those Who Walk The Dalesway”! Doh!

@stephenszalay

Sleeping – Have you thought about using a DUO, 2 person mat. Still ultralight, but amazingly comfortable

@williamboyd7131

Yes definitely more of the trails

@DamianBridger

Excellent series. Showing off places I would never of seen. Prefer the Cumbrian way. And already re watching. Your walking I prefer to the van personally. What's next? Offas dyke? Pennine way? Cornish coastline? Coast to coast? Hadrians wall?
