  1. The way you asked Sheldon the question, who can compete with those Nigerian musicians, you can see bitterness in the guy expressive face, the answer Sheldon gave, from the guy facial expression, it is not convincing to the guy 😂😂😂. My brother Ghana man, Nigeria is gone the time you would have used in working with Nigeria, Ghana was busy campaigning with other countries to join Ghana in banning Nigeria music, those Ghanaian artists mentioned can’t even stand before Nigeria C artists.

  2. This comparison is what Nigerians hates with passion. YOu are asking for collaboration with Nigerians and you still compare who sings or raps better. lolz. Ghanians dont kw how to do business at all. Dont proof to be smart when you are not gifted to be. SO If Mi feature a ghanian artist, you would campaign , the music sold cos a ghanian made it so. Lets be honest. Nigerians wont ft ghanians much or even put you guys in tours.. yall talk too much. self entitled people.

  3. I challenge Ghana right here to upload that ancestral genre that Nigeria supposedly took from Ghana. Nigeria has more genre than Ghana because we have more diversity. I guarantee you that there's no ancestral genre in Ghana that does not exist in Nigeria. Nigeria's Afrobeat is just a creative repackaging of Nigeria's ancestral music with modern music elements. But Ghana always claims to be the source of Nigeria's music. Ghanaians do not even consider similarities of cultures. We are West Africans, after all! Our ancestral genres use some identical percussive instruments! There are bound to be many similarities! So, whenever Ghana hears a similarity with their music, they will claim to be the source. Upload that ancestral genre that Nigeria supposedly took from Ghana, and I will upload similar ancestral music from Nigeria. Nigeria has more genre than Ghana.

  4. Instead of collaborating with Nigeria, Ghana created the illusion of Nigeria VS Ghana. Even though, Nigeria has no idea they are competing with Ghana. No media in Nigeria mentions Ghana. None!!! Ghana pushed the lie that Nigeria has an 80/20 policy that excludes foreign music. Even though, Black Sheriff has twice topped Nigeria's chart. Even though, Nigeria streamed some Ghanaian artistes more than Ghana. Black Sheriff even joined the initiative to minimize FOREIGN music in Ghana, even though, him and his music is being pushed by "FOREIGN" Nigeria. The #PlayGhana initiative ended up excluding Ghanaian artistes from world stage for the first half of 2024. So, Ghana has been COMPETING at their own detriment. And Nigeria is mostly indifferent.

  5. My take from a lot of Ghanaian entertainment podcasters and personalities is that they actually see themselves as competitors to Nigerians rather than actual fellow West Africans or collaborators. I’m personally all for more inter-African collaboration, but not with people like this, who just slip in the “collaboration” bit to throw gullible Nigerians off the scent of duplicity they often cannot help themselves revealing. “Collaboration,” indeed. But here these guys are, saying that Nigerians are no more talented than Ghanaians, or that Ghana is better at rap than Nigeria (like African rap was ever popular or a huge moneymaker to begin with), or that WE created Afrobeats (a five-beat clave that's not just native to Ghana, but also to Nigeria, does not a genre make), or that (*yawn*) “these Nigerians” have the population and plaaags!

Personally I don’t see Ghana ever having a huge, vibrant music or entertainment industry. The music is mostly dull. The “it” factor is missing. The business instinct is barely there. And the excuses, podcasts, and YouTube videos are aplenty. You can have talent with the width and depth of the Volta River for all I care. It’s not going to change much, if anything, if you don't humble yourself into accepting the shortcomings that prevent you from achieving something grand.

On the other hand, at least you have tourism.

  6. Most of the music by Ghana artists is wack, that's the bitter truth….una music nor sweet. The only music of yours that is manageable are by your artists that sound Nigerian like Camidoh and King Promise, that's why they do well in Nigeria bcos Nigerians don't have time to listen to trash.
So, stop this childish comparision btw Nigerian music and your music….its like comparing Toyota with Benz…..and you keep claiming Afrobeat(s) came from Ghana, abeg name one Ghana artist that plays Afrobeat ike Fela did…..you guys are just delulu 😂

  7. Ghanaians has a layback attitude to life. Very comfortable in very space they found themselves but its not so with Nigerians. They ask questions, always challenge themselves and ready to stake it all to make an impact. The nigerians have this attitude and strength to push, is not the population but the mentality. Talent without these traits will not move anywhere. With the fierce global competition. You can hype your artists till kingdom come but that will not reflect on their global success. Let it be the workings and the doings.

  8. here’s my opinion as a Ghanaian-American (born in america to a Ghanaian parent). Ghanaian music is amazing but I believe the language barrier is holding Ghanaian artist back. Like realistically, an ivorian, ghanaian, sierra leonian and someone from congo can all enjoy asake/burna boy/wizkids music because although it’s not always in english/pidgin, they speak enough for all of us to follow along. but many ghanaian artist make their music in twi, so i’ve noticed that only the native twi speakers i know are the ones listening. the rest of my mates just turn to nigerian afrobeats. and some of my mates are also ghanaian america, but have ewe or Ga parents, so they still aren’t twi speakers. and if you notice, the black sherif and king promise sounds that have gone viral on tiktok, are sounds where they’re speaking english. and that’s why now we see videos of people in UK and malaysia doing dances to their music… so yea, these are just my thoughts. and im not saying they shouldn’t speak twi, but i think it does limit their audience

  9. "They have the resources, they have the plugs" Until these Ghanaians face the truth, they will keep ranting and rambling forever. The quality of your music is low. Start from there.

  10. U GUYS ARE IDIOTS FOR CONSIDERING NAIJA QUALITY OF MUSIC WITH URS…UNTIL U REALISE UR SICK U CAN NEVER BE CURED…
SO U WANT TO COMPARE GHANA MUSIC OR VIDEO OUTPUT OR VIBES WITH DAT OF THE NIGERIANS? STUPID COCKROACH BRAIN PEOPLE

  11. They claim they started Afrobeat, yet can't name one Afrobeat artist what started it. Even their contemporary Afrobeat artists are sounding Nigerian. If you started it as you claimed, Nigerian artists are supposed to be sounding Ghanaian, not the other way round. Ghanaians keep trying to reap where they didn't sow.

  12. I laff when Ghanaians say they own Afrobeats but can’t show us 1 to 2 Afrobeats artists from Ghana. Also, becus Nigerian artists used Ghanaian words “Odo and shitor “ in their songs made Ghana d owner of Afrobeats… comedians 🤣😂🤣

  13. Dear Ghana 🇬🇭, i thought the PLAY GHANA INITIATIVE you guys introduced would have sky rocketed 🚀 your music industry to its Eldorado? Why to collabo with Nigeria 🇳🇬 now? Please, dey your dey make we dey our dey. Please, leave Naija 🇳🇬 alone.

  14. Jokers…You will compare Ghana to 9ja 4ever..9ja is gone already…You talking of music…What about Technology, Literature, Medicine, Movies, Startups etc…. You guys need 4ever to meet us bcoz 9ja will never stop

  15. It’s a no brainer Naija act make better music than Ghanaian you lot keep deceiving yourself . What quality music is Ghana doing lol. With your burial ground music. No wonder your new acts all sounds like Naija artist . Same excuses every time 😂. Even within Africa . Ghana artist are always nowhere to found in African countries music chats .
