Egyptian rice will go better with this recipe, trust me
It's not the original Koshari recipe as Egyptian koshari. I think, it's only a marketing for the rice 🙂 ( by the way we are not using this type of rice in our original recipe )

From my understanding you cooked everything 80% and still have to cook it another 20%…
Well ,first of all thanks for your efforts in representing recipes from all over the globe to satisfy all tastes,
However I am Egyptian & this's a kind of koshary & far from our authentic way,
To start with Koshary can't be by any means done with basmati or long grain rice, it's mandatory to be done with Egyptian rice which is short grain & a bit starchy than basmati rice , it's somehow so much like risotto shapewise not texture,
But thanks for your effort, keep up the great job 🌷❤
