Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson pushed hard to the line but finished second in 9.99, just behind South Africa’s Akani Simbine, who won the men’s 100m in 9.98 (+0.5 m/s) at the Yangtze River Delta Athletics Diamond Gala in Shanghai. Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo placed third in 10.03.
