  1. First few nations in the Belt and Road Initiative will be bailed out by china. One nation defaulting will trigger a domino effect. It's in the interest of African nations to be the first to get a bailout. There won't be enough for everyone. China is running a budget deficit.

  2. This is not charity, this is win win partnership. Don't expect free stuffs from other countries, you have to work for it. Kenya should be grateful that China even took a chance to help it develops in the first place.

  3. The West has helped Kenya for many years and we must thank them for that, but for the few years Kenya has interacted with China we have received more development,China has proved to be a reliable partner interms of technology and development, Kenya as an African nation must focus on how they can work with China,China is the future of Kenya.

  4. Kenya should now abandon following western culture since the west abandoned us years ago,we should concentrate on how Kenya can make Chinese benefit and Chinese can also make Kenyan lives better.

  5. Kenya should not lose the west as an ally but Kenya should now focus on creating a more reliable alliance from the East,Kenya should now focus on China if they seek developing as a nation,if Kenya wants to get out from the third world stagnation they should adopt chinese patterns,Kenya must also introduce Chinese language in schools to make Kenya and China communication easier.

  6. Kenyan exports to the US are worth only $600 million a year. What in the name of a strategic partner is that? Contributes very little to Kenya's $131 billion GDP. Can do without the US if it came to choosing sides.

  7. I can only trace Britain in kenya by our stolen lands and other neocolonialism…….we can only trace america by being imperialist and think kenya is their oart of state to rule and pilot globalist agenda…….west bye please

  8. I have seen Chinese Highways, Expressways, Bridges, Railways in Kenya. I have never seen any American, UK or Europeans AID they claim to bring to Kenya except Lectures

  9. As an African, I prefer Chinese loans as they are visible in terms of projects…western loans comes with austerity, no visible project, and mineral losss

  10. The President is free to decide who is suitable to building big infrastructure in Kenya. Western propaganda think we need to worship and Beg USA and other Western Oligarchs for us to continue moving foward.

  11. West is a lot of bla bla. Their aid is not aid but just a distraction ( stealing all resources). Those greedy westerners should leave Africa and you will see a better Africa.

  12. I wonder if Africa can advance without relying completely on other countries for quality infrastructure, Its not like we completely lack resources, anyway i can bet this will be our fate, always relying too much on other countries while they suck as dry. cant blame the people but the politicians who are afraid of hardwork and standing their ground when someone attempts to manipulate them. Anyways if the two super powers fight u can find ur way through to gain an advantage, im not an expert but i just hope for the better to everyone in the world

  13. I’d rather our government engage China for bilateral talks than the US or the EU. When we tried collaborating with the US on the Nairobi–Mombasa highway, the discussions didn’t materialize into action, and the road remains as perilous as ever. Similarly, our engagement with the French on the Nairobi–Nakuru highway fell through, leading us to opt for a Chinese contractor instead. The US and EU often seem sluggish on major infrastructure projects—either lacking the funds, the expertise, or perhaps just stringing African countries along while extracting our resources and leaving us impoverished.
    China all the way!

  14. Of course, in China's trade, small countries like Kenya may not be very important in helping China counter western market protectionalism. But we got the saying: "“Little drops of water make the mighty ocean.”

  15. The western world is just mad that Africa has alternatives and wont be as easy to manipulate. The IMF Africa debt is 1000x more than what Africa owes china. worse the IMF loans are given to corrupt politicians who are installed to keep Africa poor so its easy to exploit. At least the Chinese debt comes with beneficial infrastructure. So the west uses platforms like Al jazeera to manipulate and gaslight the public into thinking china is bad.

  16. Show a road or railway or port built in Africa with American support and I will show you a golden unicorn and it’s baby calf eating grass in Serengeti park 😅😅😅

  17. Malcolm Webb spewing the usual Western garbage. China's debt is around 19% of our total external debt. 81% is from Bretton Woods mafia and their affliates. Stop yapping about 19% and focus on the 81%. What does it take to kick out these propagandists?
