The president said the move came after “reflection, listening to Kenyans, and after holistic appraisal of my cabinet”.

He has said…

Sanctions on Russian diamonds.
A ban on the import of Russian diamonds into the territory of the G7 states has been in force since the beginning of this year. Most African countries responded to this ban by increasing production. However, not all countries are happy with the ongoing ban. But the German newspaper Deutsche Welle now warns that it may pose a potential risk to the stability of the global diamond trade.

Before the ban, Russia was the world's leading producer of diamonds. On the contrary, the importance of African states is expected to grow, especially Botswana, which in 2022 will become the second largest producer of diamonds in the world.
Whose lap will West Africa fall into? Both industry and disinformation are in the game for influence
"Most major world economies now rely on our domestic production," M'Zee Fula Ngenge, head of the African Diamond Council, told Deutsche Welle.
Canada, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho and Sierra Leone also made the top ten.
"The G7 left us completely out of the negotiations. If we were to become world diamond leaders, they should have come to us first," added Fula Ngenge, adding that the sanctions against Russia are at least partly a complication for African states. They require African countries to send their diamonds for certification to the EU in Brussels, Antwerp, Belgium, which is considered the central center of the world diamond industry.
Botswana in particular has been quite vocal in its criticism of the decision as it allegedly disrupts their supply chain. Botswanan President Mokgweetsi Masisi will therefore meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a few days to discuss the mandatory certification process with him and suggest possible changes.
Blood diamonds
Diamonds mined in Africa are subject to the so-called Kimberley process. This ensures that so-called blood diamonds, i.e. minerals originating from conflict areas, do not reach the international market. In practice, this means that all shipments of rough diamonds must be in intact shipping containers and must be accompanied by a government-issued certificate of their conflict-free origin.
"Moving everything to Antwerp, Belgium is a step backwards," criticizes the initiative of Fula Ngenge.

The unintended infectiously contagious dischantent trajectory is unavoidable, a paradym shift has emerged, waking up GenZs beyond Kenyan borders. The action is monumentally handed out as a batton of responsibility to self liberate by unified with quitasential unimaginable boldness, actionable weaponlessly. It's freedom quest loudest call to self liberate from KKKolonialism attributes which mutated in various veiled spheres of instruments and organs previously unnoticed in governing bodies, religious organs and extended tentacles of diabolical vessels and sinews spanning all over the wild worldly stage! We are watching a movie and yet we are in it some amply capable of changing the script as it evolves and descends down the slopes of Mt Kenya!

@BenWillock

And of course he'll be taking a pay cut too… right?

@KLASSCULTURE

Oh no … here we go 😮

@jacquelineyongo7957

We want him to fire himself, once he is done firing his ministers . Bloody idiot.

@HerrPoopenstein

The relationship between government and society should be a balanced symbiosis. Neither should ever have too much more control than the other. That is the ideal to aim for. Accept there will be failures, figure out what went wrong, implement, and move on. The government should never keep it's people in a state of deprivation or abuse. That is a toxic and unhealthy state for any country and only slows down and hinders their progress in a modern world which demands respect for the rights of women and children, the elderly, and the disabled. If you cannot care for and protect your most vulnerable, you cannot claim to be men.

@MrVariak

Best thing to do is resign. You can run for the next election, but now you must resign to show empathy and sincerity. Resignation is the ONLY way to save your chance at a future political career.

He should fire himself!

Lies just flow from this mans mouth. If he ever intended to do what he is saying, he would have done it a long time ago. So is he going to slay himself, that should be the first step because after all he is the biggest dragon of corruption.

@LuzDoSol-yr5bv

Oh, well, better backbone than some politicians here in the West. The entire cabinet, the foreigner, was in a foreign land, perhaps. 😂😂😂😂

@mercyelias271

He is planning to work with opposition….Ruto is a failure

Next step, recover all embezzled funds from every public ministry, as well as funds taken by corrupt officials.

At least now thr cabinet knows why we dont trust him. They bowed down to him and he threw them under the bus "with immediate effect" such a judas move but hey, Im glad hes listening to the majority who are suffering, rather than his cabinet that lives in opulence every damn day.
