Kenya protests: At least 10 demonstrators 'shot dead' & 50 injured as parliament set on fire


Protesters in Kenya have reportedly been shot dead and Nairobi’s parliament set on fire after a contentious tax bill was passed.

At least 10 protesters were shot dead in the Kenyan capital, according to the Reuters news agency, after police fired live rounds as the compound was stormed by demonstrators following the passing of the bill.

  5. President Ruto went to the US and got in bed with the IMF and returned home to impose austerity measures. Now he calls people protesting 'treasonous'! He's got to go, he's no longer serving the people.

  6. The issue is not foreign debt, it is stealing of public monies , extravagance of the president and his cronies and also American administration, realizing he is so inept and daft in international relations, they are protecting and using him to their own geopolitical advantage
