Kenya: Marathon world record holder Kelvin Kiptum dies in road accident | BBC News


The men’s marathon world record holder, Kelvin Kiptum, 24, has died in a road accident in his home country.

The father-of-two was killed alongside his coach in a car on a road in western Kenya on Sunday.

Kelvin set the men’s world record in Chicago last October, clocking the 26.2 miles (42km) in two hours and 35 seconds.
