Kenya heavy rains and floods: Government orders people to leave some areas


The Kenyan government has ordered people living near 178 dams to leave their homes.

Authorities are warning more heavy rains in the region could see dams and reservoirs overflow.

Al Jazeera’s Catherine Soi reports from Nairobi.

  1. Ruto must exit from his academic posture and stop making public presentations like someone defending their thesis. Needs to be more practical and pragmatic… People need real help, not mere advice and orders.

  2. The government of Kenya must relocate and assist people with a place to sleep, and food and medicine and blankets, and tents and temporary structures, must be declared disaster areas, the president announced,spoken, what did he adress,?

  3. meanwhile our corrupt puppet of the west president ruto is spending millions of dollars to renovate a statehouse that was well maintained, the Kenyan government is full of corrupt people who will do nothing for their own, the governor of Nairobi sakaja doesn't even know what his job entails and is known more for his corrupt ways than actually working, Kenya is in deep trouble, i wish Tanzania would lend us their very respectable and able President suluhu.
