We once lived in an area that was very diverse with students, staff, and families from all around world. I ALWAYS make an effort to learn and pronounce a name correctly simply out of respect for them as a person. It is not hard to do.

Chinese and Japanese have names that Karen like her can't even pronounce and shes not saying anything to the Asian community concerning the name of their kids, so why complaining only about how black people name their children? This Karen should mind her own business.
If black people can be forced to learn and pronounce names like Kaczyński, Aeschylus, or Schwarzenegger, then white shouldn't have a problem when it's the other way around.

All cultures name their kids' names according to their culture. nothing wrong with naming your child a different name. Western European names are boring, and why should blacks or foreigners choose these names or conform

I knew a black girl once whose name was Aina. I thought the name was interesting then years later I discovered it was an old viking(Nordic) name meaning “bright”, “radiant”. Did her mother know that? Who knows. All I know is she was a pretty and nice girl and a lot of other black girls made fun of her all the time.

I used to be envious of my black fam who had European sounding names and as a kid I tried to “anglicise” my name. Now as an adult I’m proud of my African name ….. and if you can’t pronounce it, that’s on you.

She’s not talking about traditional African names. She’s talking about African American names. The problem is that the names are made up and inconsiderate of how it affects the life of the child. What we see here is from the viewpoint of the mother but nowhere in this video did I see anyone ask the opinions of the children who have to deal with it.
